    Thanks for ur early reply.
It is not a constant noise.
It's ticking sound that sounds not constant but at every half rolling of the rear wheel. Sounds like in the rear drum.

OK, I'LL CHECK. HOPING IT'S NOT A BIG JOB TO DO AND TO SPENT IN.

THANKS FOR UR EARLY REPLY, THE NOISE IS ON THE SIDE OF THE DRIVESHAFT

It could be the spoke nut rattling inside the tyre and wheel rim. If it's a constant long noise then check disc for drag or then finally bearings.

Try tapping the spokes, if one is loose you'll know it. Check the oil in your driveshaft head.
Picking the Star up to get the wheel off the ground is a chore but you (and a few strong friends) might have to do just that to investigate the noise more fully. With the wheel in the air you can wiggle and listen.
BTW, are you sure it isn't the rear caliper?

How to service drive shaft on yamaha 650 vstar

Remove the drain plug at the bottom of the rear hub ( have oil pan ready in place so oil doesn't drip on back tire. Remove the bolt on the side of that hub unit then replace the drain plug. Fill the hub unit with a hypoid gear oil (80w90) to the top of bolt hole. Then replace bolt. Do this every 3000 miles.

Fork fluid

If there is no fluid on the fork legs or the wheel the fluid very likely isn't leaking and is OK.
If there is fluid the fork legs need servicing at which time the fluid will be drained and replaced.

I need to remove rear wheel for tire change on 2003 vstar 650

Hi .... The Xs is conventional, ie straight out the back. Put a plank of wood or something similar under the centre stand, this'll give you a bit of extra height and once the spindle is out the wheel will come out slightly to one side. Problem comes if someone has fitted an aftermarket custom exhaust which reduces egress. Also if you still have standard twin exhausts you may have to lower swingarm (by disconnecting lower shock bolts (thus the plank) to remove spindle. Remember to note spacers as it comes apart and regrease spindle on re-assembly.
