Why do i have a bad idel and its getting worse

no engine told at all and is a 100% engine EFI questions.
NO VIN told and I tell you what is under the hood,
no country told but VIN covers that too.
sadly there is only generic answers.
guess #1 gasoline , not diesel.
engines die for over 50 causes,. we do tests to find them.
here is list of many, fuel pump is only 1.
no tuneups done for 18 years, a hopeless bit of abuse.???
spark parts, filters all, belts. fluids, etc.
cam belt slipped, never serviced for 60 to 100k miles BOOM bad
all 3 engines used in USA version have this belt, that must never be ignored, other pistons bend the heave valves over. horror.
bad spark, the ECU sees spark dead it cuts fuel, fuel pump be danged.
and last is fueling, never first , above is first
what I do is check cam timing first not make it worse cranking.

No mate, you have reversed the polarity I think, loosen the starter bolts that hold the body together, and rotate it then tighten it and try again. when you put it back together it has not been put back the same, so the polarity is now reversed and it is spinning the wrong wway.

sometimes it helps to tell what model, engine size , ect of what you are working on.

you might need to clean you stator(altinator) or maybe get a new one for you spark to work right if you have already changed the coil.also bad gas can do it also or low fuel.when the tank is low put your bike gas valve on reserve.A friends bike was running badly and all i did was put it on reserve cause the tank was low and the bike ran great after that.

You are going to need access to a scan tool for this.plug the scanner into your truck and look at the engine coolant temp. if it's 75 out and your engine is cold,the coolant sensor should read 75.If it reads 40 or 25deg.it adds a bunch of fuel,just as if it was trying to start the engine on a cold day.If you can use an infrared temp gun,warm the engine...compare the sensor reading with the temp at the thermostat...

Try a new spark plug. Go to a motorsports dealer to purchase a new one as alot of discount or big name store can get a lower grade of sparkplug and this can create alot of grief.

If you went to a less restrictive exhaust and didnt rejet and the bike is popping its running to lean. Need to rejet the carbs when you open up the exhaust.

Remove one of the spark plugs and see if it is wet with gas.

As a former Audi technician, I can pretty much guarantee the coil packs are your problem.
