When was the duel filter last changed?
Wait, you have to jump start it to get going again?
ooook. Ck the charging system yourself. Pick up one of those 9.99 multimeters from a parts store and chk the out put voltage of the alt. It should be between 13.6v to 14.2v. Any higher or lower is not got. What is happening is when you jump start you are running on what the battery has. If the battery sits awhile it will recover on its own enougth to run a few blocks, then croak until it sits and recovers again. zzzzzzthe battery is a reservoirand the alternater is supposed to keep it filled wirh power. I'm sure it's the alt.If the output shows 13.6 or lower the alt is at itd max output and if above 14.2 its not charging any amperes, it's only piuring voltage to the bat which can ruin the battery. If the bATTERY is bad it can demand too much from the alt and ruin the alt which can only charge at maximumfor a short perriod @13.6 v the alt is charging just under it's max as Aa safety margin. The lower the voltage, the higher the amps,Make sense? Many parts people think that when the alt reading is high it means it's charging. Not so.. Good Luvk, Ned
It could be that you are loosing a connection to main power on fuse panel but it is unlikely. In most cases if this is happening it is because the alternator is not charging. I know you will say you have had it tested but most testing procedures do not load test the alternator and does not show the amperage output of an alternator, they show voltage. In most cases there is not enough to back up the rate of charge and run the car so it dies again...

Yes, I had it checked 3 times, 1 failed, 2 pass. I guess I can always buy one and it if doesn't fix it, return it. thanks! hope thats the problem.
