I have a BKing and I put it in gear with the side stand down frequently. All that happens is that the engine cuts out. You have a real FI problem that is co-incident with the side stand and you need a dealer.

That happened to me and for shore is a co-incident but my problem was a valve thats in the exhaust that got stuck but also when I turn the ignition on it begin to hit something like a hammer hitting the metal. The mecanic programed valve to stay open. Now my F1 is on because I installed power commander.

Does my 96 Suzuki GS500E sidestand have to be up for my bike to start?

The stand needs to be up to start the bike in gear unless you pull in the clutch, but you should be able to start it in neutral with the clutch in and the stand down.if You put it in gear with the clutch in and the stand down as soon as you let the clutch out it will cut out.it's a safety thing introduced by Suzuki due to an American sueing Kawasaki years ago for being able to ride the bike a bike with the stand down,he fell off and sued them for his own stupidity.

How to change bking speedometer from mph to kmh

Hi, on my SV the LCD panel is adjustable to show many different modes. Try pressing the Adj button and see if the mph can be changed to kph. My owners manual shows a few settings but I notice when I keep pressing the Adj button there are more settings than the book shows. I hope this works for your BKing.

Recently went for a ride and everything was good. Made a stop, when I came out bike wouldnt start. turning the key everything was normal, rpm gauge spiked, lights turned on, fuel pump was heard. Went to...

Did you leave your motorcycle in gear when you turned it off? It sounds like the side stand safety switch is keeping the bike turned off. If my Suzuki is running and I pull in the clutch, with out raising the side stand, and I place the bike in gear with the side stand down, it will immediately shut off. The cycle is set up that way so you will not drive with your stand down and go out of control when you take your first left turn. If your cycle is not in neutral and your side stand is down, that would cause the condition you describe. If that is not the case start by inspecting the side stand safety switch and the clutch safety switch for proper operation.

Got 2001 gsxr 600! bike starts in (N) but stalls out when put in gear?????

Check you side stand safety switch . Suzuki uses a system that kills the motor if you put it in gear with the side stand down or put the side stand down while it is in gear and it is running.

Is my choke on my 97 suzuki vz800. Supposed to be

You should be able to adjust the choke to where it will stay in without holding it by turning the rubber piece behind the choke clockwise towards you until the choke stays out on its own. You can adjust this so the choke automatically adjust as the bike warms.
Hope this helps..

Suzuki m50 shift gears.

Check clutch adjustment for proper engaging & de-engagement. If adjustment nut near the clutch lever try adjusting by turning.
