Low voltage Just purchased a 1993 ford e 350 shuttle bus. It has 2 batteries 1 alternator. Had to replace both batteries twice due to low voltage 10-11 volts after running a week or so .,so i upgraded the alternator to a 250 amp alternator but still killing batteries.Voltage starts out at 13 .5 14 volts, but after using a/c for awile it starts dropping to12,11,10 volts. bad ground maybe?

What is the condition of the battery cables you are probably onto something about a ground but i dont think your ground issue is going to be at the batteries you may not have a good ground on the alternator. The next thing I would check is ... the alternator itself do you know that you are getting between 13.6 and 14.2 volts out of the alternator, a under charge or a overcharge condition both are bad for batteries.

I would check alternator output first if it is not within the above range you need to replace it

If the alternator is putting out in the range of 13.6 to 14.2 then you need to look elsewhere... you may have something draing the batteries overtime interior lights, electric brake controller for trailor brakes if equipped sound system if anything is getting power without going through a switched circuit this could also be your cause.

hope this helps

What does code no bus meAN

No bus means PCM communication error. Common in Chrysler/dodge/jeep product there could be several reasons your getting this code. It could be low voltage due to battery or alternator failing dirty conections or a crank sensor going bad. Try the most inexspensive thing first which is checking and cleaning connections such as battery post etc then have charging and battery system checked at your local autozone. If all check good dissconect your battery for about 15-30 mins and if that doesn't work have crank sensor checked and replaced. Hope this answer was helpful.

Check engine light/ battery light / check gages light all came on at the same time.

Have the alternator and battery tested this many warning lights come on most often due to low battery voltage due to a faulty alternator.

2008 ford edge turns over a bit slow then the interior lights flash twice and click. Is this a battery issue?

Yes, sounds like the battery is low. need to recharge or replace. An auto parts store can test it for you.

1989 f350 7.3 replaced voltage regulator and alternator same time. still not charging

you should have 12.5 volts with engine off at battery and 14.4v with engine running and charging system working. Is alternator light on? please rate, thx.

There are different versions and 1989 is too old to get on line. here is 1993, so take with caution. Also check the fusible link.

Battery Positive Voltage (B+) Output
The generator (alternator) output is supplied through the Battery Positive Voltage (B+) output connection to the battery and electrical system. I Circuit
The I circuit, or ignition circuit is used to turn on the voltage regulator. This circuit is powered up with the ignition key in the RUN position. This circuit is also used to turn the indicator on if there is a fault in the charging system operation or associated wiring circuits A Circuit
The A circuit, or battery sense circuit, is used to sense the battery voltage. This voltage is used by the regulator to determine the output. This circuit is also used to supply power to the generator (alternator) field coil. This circuit is connected back to the load distribution point and is a protected circuit. S Circuit
The S circuit, or stator circuit, is used to feedback a voltage signal from the generator (alternator) to the regulator. This voltage, typically 1/2 battery voltage, is used by the regulator to turn off the indicator.

I have a 1986 f350 diesel , the batteries seem yo be discharging when thevtruck is running. I can leave it sit for weeks and starts right up. If I drive around and try to start batteries to low to start...

Yes there may be a Diode that's shorted. I'd replace the alternator.
Note: I've had very limited results replacing the regulators on ford alternators over the years and now just replace the complete unit.

1993 E-350 shuttle bus low beam headlights do not work, High beams ok, parking lights also are ok

Check fuses and it's possible both of your headlights are burned out. They are the sealed beam type.

I have no power to anything but it was working

first of all make sure you are getting 14 volts from alternator when running, at least 13 volts or more with engine off. if the readings are off, check alternator for replacement or repair. if the alternator fails it will not recharge battery. that is why your gauge is low reading. check voltage at battery with engine on then engine off.
