It could be several things. If it's up front, and more like grease on the inside of the rim and tire, it could be a ruptured CV boot. normally you can check this by turning your tires all the way left or right and looking down at the driveshaft where it meets with the rotor/wheel assembly. Have your brakes been acting odd,grabbing/ pulsating? it could be a blown brake cylinder piston. This normally requires you to remove the tire and brake assembly to check. I could be more specific if I had more info.

Volkswagen 2006 Jetta, shaking while driving and accelerating.

Retrieve the trouble codes and fix any problems. if you dont have acces to scanner there are places out there that will scan it for free. Know, however, that just scanning it it's not a diagnosis. Fix the leaks, change the oil and add propper amount and type of oil. The shaking of the engine could be due to misfires causing the vehicle to run rough but in order to find out you need to retrieve the trouble codes. Best bet is to take it to a shop and have it diagnosed.

It is leaking some dark black oil has 40,000 miles on it

Black oil indicates dirty/old oil.But to your leak, there are many leak stop products at your car store e.g. Autozone/Canadian tire namely Wynn's. Put a bottle in the crankcase and leave for 3000 miles, after that change your oil and filter.

I have used similar items in 3 cars and stopped the leaks.

When breaking, there is a tapping sound plus you can see oil leak on the in side of the rear passenger tire. I was thinking about oil pan in the tire, please help me, because I know that it is not cv

If it is gear oil instead of brake fluid, then the noise and oil is from the rear wheel bearing (and seal) being bad. They would need changed immediately. Rick

What is the tire size on a 99- prizm. i bought this prizm with 62k, i had it about a year and a half, it uses about 1-qt. oil every 1000 miles theres no sign of leakage ( engine is clean ), and it does not...

call a tire shop or the dealer for the exact tire size. The oil has to be going somewhere. If it's not leaking it's burning. check the plugs for oil, ck for mixture of anti freeze & oil mixing together, if it runs hot/ overheats it may be a head gasket. Or a crank or cam seal that's leaking only while driving. Have it checked, the system is supposed to be sealed.

Blown tire hit the car

i would highly recommend getting it checked out by either a shop or someone you personally know and trust that has auto knowledge... the black oil leak is most likely engine oil... the light and thin aluminum manufacturers use now days can break under just the right conditions... heat and stress... when the tire piece went under your car it may have hit your oil pans(engine and transmission.. red oil) and caused either the pan gaskets to leak.. or maybe even the pans them selves to get cracks... hopefully it's just the gaskets... not too hard to fix and ALOT less costly then new pans... as for the light .. no clue what it's supposed to be...but good luck
