Hi guys, I have a hp psc 1300 series printer and has always worked properly, but i´ve changed my computer and this new one has windows vista. i have trouble trying to install the printer. could you help me with this problem? thank you.

HP "series" numbering can be somewhat confusing, but Windows 7 does have the correct driver for your printer.
For the HP PSC 1350, you will need to use the 1300 series driver.

The 1310 series driver is for models numbered 131x (e.g., 1315, 1318).

Go to Hp support website, enter model number update drivers for VISTA operating system, if available.

You have not mentioned the PC operating system like XP, Vista, win 7
Click on the link below to download the software and install ( choose the operating system )

Search the HP Website for drivers and instructions.

Go to the HP website and download the latest printer software suite for your version of Vista. This should do the trick.

go through model number then operating system

If you don't use the HP software (i don't on my 1300 series) Uninstall all of it.
Then go to device manager and remove the printer,then reboot(while rebooting unplug the printer from the computer) and then once the computer is up, plug the printer to the computer, it will find the printer and let it search for drivers, it should find vista drivers for the 1300 series

if this may not work try this additional steps:

Go to Control panel>printers>Right click on the printer and select properties then ports and see if it set as a USB port if not you may have to create one

Your problem seems like a driver issue. try to down load complete driver for windows vista and install it.
