SOURCE: How do I change the front brake pads on a 2002 Honda Civic LX?

Take off the master cyl. cap....make sure there's only about 1/2 in the reservoir.....as you will be pushing fluid back into it! Take a large screwdriver and pry back both pads into the caliper, until the puck is all the way in.
Take out the retaining pins and pull out the old pads. Put some anti-squeek on the backs of the new ones, and put them in....reverse the proceedure. you did to get them out..... Only do one side at a time. Make sure you pump the pedal back up before you drive away! No bleeding involved. Have fun!

SOURCE: Honda 4 wheeler...no lever pressure on hydrolic

Take the master cylinder off and bench bleed it, put it in a vise, fill it, put your thumb over the hole, sqeeze the lever. Move your thumb slightly to let the fluid/air squirt out until only fluid comes out, no air. Reinstall keeping it full of fluid, try and let the fluid gravity feed down the line, watch the fluid level, could take a while. Retry bleeding.

Either there is a leak in the lines, or there is air getting in master cylinder. Master cylinder must be bled first thing if it is new, then slave the brakes. You will most likely need to repeat the process a couple times. It would be good to have an electronic bleeder as well
