Three things you can check the door switch is it clicking? The thermal fuse you want to make sure there is continuity or worse case would be your motor.

here is a list of things it could be. pull spark plugs check compression. all cylinders need to equal each other within five percent, and be over 100 lbs of compression. I don't know the year model but, some gp1200 comes with a security key pad. click here for a link to Yamaha, for the owners manual. it will give detailed instructions on how to reset code. last find the starter solenoid I have attached a picture.in the picture it has a number one marking the image. the discription at the bottom says starter relay assy A quick test of the starter is to jump across the leads. You need to be careful it will arc. best thing to use is a short screw driver. use the metal shaft of the screw driver to connect both threaded connectors on top.

There is a micro switch on the door to stop the dryer when you open the door during normal operation. Unplug the dryer and locate the switch by visually inspecting around were the door contacts the dryer and identify if you can remove the switch without opening the dryer top. If you cannot remove the switch from the front try to access the switch by lifting the top of the dryer cover off. Unplug one of the wires and touch the wire connector you removed to the other connector on the switch using electrical tape to insulate and hold it in place. Plug the dryer in and see if it works. If it does you need to order and replace the switch. If it does not the start switch could be bad and you will need to test it with an Ohm Meter which will be the safest way to test the switch.

Some fault in the dishwasher is causing it to believe the door is not locked.

I would check the door lock.
