Engine dies after quick shifting and long full throttle

I just got a '98 kawasaki kmx 125cc. it runs fine but sometimes when i shift rapidly the engine makes one or two "clack" noises and it dies, it also happens when i run it at full throttle a while. another problem is when I run downhill and i use the "engine break" (I don't know how it's called)...it makes a "clack" sound very often. what is wrong?

If its 2 stroke with automix fuel/oil, engine breaking downhill with no throttle sucks no oil in to mix with the fuel, this causes the piston rings to run raw with no oil and can wreck it pretty quickly (gets way to hot and almost ceases and dies) . try giving the engine the occasional blip of throttle while engine breaking down hill and see if it still does it. the automix of oil/fuel normally happens only when the throttle is engaged. if it continues to be a problem you can be adjust the oil intake down on your oil pump unit. Goodluck. !!

Try to adjust your chain and check your sproket for damage.

Do you have any ideas how to adjust supply of 2t oil that cause too much smoke and oil coming out from exhaust pipe?a newly overhaul kmx 125, 2002 model .

You adjust the oil via the oil pump. The throttle cable splits, one section goes to the carb and the other to the pump, you adjust the play/tension of the wire on the pump, while pulling back the throttle to see if it's aligning properly at full throttle and idle. Two strokes tend to be very smokey so unless the smokes an unusual colour it's usually not a problem. I have a Kmx 125 with a 200cc engine, I prefer running slighty rich on oil, better than running slightly lean! :)

Its a 98 kx60 and it keeps bogging out when i ride every time i shift and when i start im mixing the gas right so thats not it

Mixing the gas right doesn't mean that your jetting is right. You need a clean air filter, and a good set of piston rings (good compression) to maintain a good running engine. If your main jet is too big (fat) it will let more fuel in at 1/4 to full throttle, and this may cause your bog.

My Silverado runs fine and when I get up to 45 mph, it shifts up and back down and won't make up it's mind. Seems fine over 65 mph.

Your kick-down (Shift Modulator) may either be loose, broken or defective. If yours is a vacuum based model it may simply be a vacuum hose. If it's electronic you may try checking the plug located near the shifting arms. Sometimes mechanics forget to tighten this up after an engine repair so it may need tightening and adjustment.
Vacuum modules are usually non-adjustable.
