Trouble shoot on a suzuki gsxr 1000 , loosing power after change out an after market shorty exhaust.

Hi, Anonymous power loss after an exhaust change is not uncommon if you don't change anything else like a performance air filter, this performance issue can usually be corrected by tuning up your carbs to meet the new air/fuel flow conditions, for more information about your question and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need please visit the websites below. My 03 RM250 runs great under A load but when he sits at the gate and holds the throttle wide open getting ready to take off it wants to spudder A bit. But once he drops the clutch it sounds...

This is normal for a two stroke, and nothing to be concerned about. The engine will do this with no load and full throttle, a bit like a govener cutting in. It only becomes a problem if it does it while riding.

Did you adjust the freeplay on your clutch lever? You should havee 3-5 mm of freeplay. If so, maybe youjust need a new clutch.
