My yz125 starts after awhile but when i let the choke off it dies

I have just got a 2007 yz125, and it has been taking alot of kicking to get it to start. But when i finally get it to start and warm it up, it dies when i take the choke off. It sounds like its not getting any fuel.

Starting with the basics.Turn off the fuel.Remove the plug from the bottom of the carby float bowl.(17mm I think)Catch the fuel if you can in a glass to check for dirt and or water.Turn on the fuel tap and let some fuel run through and out the bottom af the carb.Turn the fuel back off.Replace the plug and turn the fuel back on.Sometimes just some **** in the floatbowl can cause problems.Start the bike and warm it up.In neutral give the bike full throttle and at the same time, flick the choke fully on and fully off a few times. The sudden on and off 'sucking'through the carby MAY dislodge a small piece of debris in a jet.Next.Check for water in the fuel.Do these steps before you pull stuff apart. It only takes about 10 mins.If these dont work its a good chance the carb has a bit more dirt in it that needs to be cleaned out. This is a guide as a starting point.Hope this helps

Im having trouble kick starting my xr 250, and when I do get it started and I turn the throttle it dies. what do I need to do?

if it has an manual choke you need to play around with that while kick starting it. once started before you go anywhere slowly close your choke (this may take up to 5 minutes if you live in a cold area). once fully closed then you should be able to turn the throttle without a problem occuring.

best of luck and safe riding

Weedeater dies when you open choke

After you start it and are in the second stage of the choke (half choke ) let it run for awhile until it warms a bit then try openning choke and going to full throttle.

The jet keep on letting out to much fuel

The float in the carb is sticking..Buy a can of carb clean and spray it down as good as you can..In every hole and what you can get to...Alot of times this will work without having to take it off and clean it..After you spray it down really good let it sit for about 20 min. That will give it enough time to break down theat old gummy gas build up..After letting it sit Start it up..You may have to hold the gas pedal to the floor in order to start it because of the over satutration of the cleaner..After letting it run for awhile let it idle and go under the hood with it still idling and rev the motor up and closing the choke at the same time..You may have to rev it up a little high..When you rev it up and the motor is racing quick close the choke and the motor will start to die down and rev it a little with the choke on..What this does is by closing the choke when its reving up is it sucks all that crud build up out .You may have to do that a few times but it works great..Good Luck and Have a great day

My yz125 dosnt start was running died out when

check the compression with a compression tester. you may have burnt the ring out on the piston. if you don't have a compression tested you should buy one and test is right but if you remove the spark plug and stick your finger over the hole while you push the kick starter down it should force fully push your finger off. if so you have compression if not then you don't have compression and need to redue the top end.

if you have compression check for spark by taking the plug while it is still out and plug it back into the wire and rest the tip of the spark plug or side of it on the head and push the kick starter again. you should see the spark plug spark at the tip. if so it's good and if not you may have a bad coil or something in the ignition system.

but check that and et me know and i can further assist you.
