Question about Honda Motorcycles
I bought a honda cbr400 rr (NC23) i got the bike knowing is does not start. i figured out the bike didn't have a fuel pump, so i ordered a new fuel pump. all of a suddenly the bike started but i realized the carburetor was leaking fuel. after ordering another carb hours of tweaking and testing i read on a forum that the pump is not suppose to run 24/7. i did more digging and then found out that my fuel relay was bypassed. now that i traced the wires and put the wiring at the right place, the fuel pump does not prime at all, i started reading and digging more and after reading some forums i found out that a normal problem is the zener diode, this problem is on newer models so i want to know does my nc 23 have one and how can i tjek if it working or not .

SOURCE: fuel pump not pumping
your fuel filter is probably plugged up which is what probably caused the pump to go initially. after the fuel is out of the lines the first start will take a while.

It is a good idea to replace the kit, and it is a matter of stripping the carb and taking note what you removed where and replacing with a new part. You should also check the spark plugs and timing. If the timing is out, the engine will also have difficulty starting.
