Check at your auto parts store for a Sylvania Star Brite. Lots brighter and draws no more current than your stock bulb.

2002 Honda CR 250 R headlight not working


Hi, Anonymous if your headlight is not working, only one beam works, keeps burning out, blinking, dim or surges from bright to dim to bright the first thing you need to check is the headlight bulb for damaged filaments then check your light circuit fuse, then check your head light bulb socket ground wire for a clean tight connection, that being said the usual suspects are:
1. Faulty ground or power supply wire to headlight bulb socket.
2. Worn down solder contacts or loose fit of the bulb base in the socket due to vibration.
3. Worn, chaffed, or broken wires in the light circuit.
4. Corroded, broken, or loose pins/sockets in wire connectors.
5. Faulty hi/lo beam switch.
6. Faulty ignition switch.
7. Fuse is good but no continuity on both sides.
8. Faulty headlight relay.
9. Faulty wiring between battery positive and headlight bulb socket.
10. Weak charging alternator/generator/lighting coil.
11. Faulty voltage regulator/rectifier ground or overcharging.

Can i change my 3 pin bulb connectors to 2 pin?


Vehicle's that are fitted with two terminal bulb's use two bulbs for dimm and bright.On the vehicle's that use three terminal's one bulb does the work of both. So i dont think it wiil work putting in that type of bulb unless you modify the headlight unit so it can accomidate two headlight bulbs per side.

Headlight is not bright enough, possible to replace bulb or light kit or headlight


Before you replace anything make sure that the earth connection to the head light bulb fitting is securely attached on both the bulb and the frame side. Also check that the inside of the bulb is not burnt black from element deposits. If this is the case, the headlight bulb will have to be replaced.

How to change headlight


open the hood. put your hand on the back of the headlight in the engine area. you will feel a rubber gasket around a hole were wires go in. pull the rubber gasket off using the rubber tab. then unplug the wires from bulb. then theres a little metal hinge kinda, it lifts up and over. once you do that the bulb will come out. replace with new one just dont touch the glass part of bulb. then slide the hinge back over to hold the bulb in place. theres only one way the bulb will fit. replace gasket then plug wires in.

I just bought the Flashpoint Bright Beam 300 watt continuous output and it came with a 300 watt DRA bulb. The bulb is really tiny and it doesn't seem to fit directly into the actual light. Is there another...


no, i have the same light...i just inserted the 2 pronged lightbulb in the middle of the metal plate where there should be a small socket with 2 holes...you have to be carefull with these kinda bulbs...they are easily damaged, prongs being broke from being put in and out...too frequently and ect.

Problem with Replacement Headlights


Sounds like you need to contact the people whom you got them from and see what they say. Sometimes those weird euro headlights don't function correctly. You have the same plug, but now you have 2 bulbs instead of 1 drawing juice from the same source. When you double the load, but keep the source the same, you will have problems.
