SOURCE: yamaha ybr 110 - Does

The facts mentioned does convey that the engine is not tuned properly and so lack in performance.
I would request that the fuel settings be checked and corrected with a proper tuning of the fuel /air mixture.
The spark plug must be removed and checked as it will indicate the performance. It should be clean and not sooted . If not replace plug, set the correct gap. Now check the timing of the spark and set it .
The spark intensity and a correct fuel mixture will give you a good cold start and good performance.

I have a 130 hp Yamaha 2 stroke. Recently engine upon starting smoked like crazy

Use Evinrude XD50 oil, it is the best and has little smoke. If you are using autolube injection, check the calibration. If you are using premix, are you using 50 to 1, 100 to 1 or free pour plus a bit :>)

2 stroke engines will always smoke extra on startup as oil drops into the bottom of the crankcase and gets whipped up when the engine starts.

White smoke from BMW 740i exhaust

white were? the exhaust tip, or other spot, long pipe, name spot?
white, is steam or OIL.
oil smells like burnt oil and takes for ever to dispate
steam is water, and smells , sweet due to 50% glycol inside.
and goes away fast.
but all Gas engines make water at all the time running as a by product of combustion and for sure on cold days, some times full time cold
due to climate effects.
does your neighbors car smoke at same time, (look)
bingo , dew point.

all gas engine smoke cold started, (steam)

so first find out what it is,
take the dip stick out of a hot engine. stalled, drip it on the exhaust
see that smoke ,smell it? that is burning oil
now you know what you have, steam or oil. smoke.

Zuma 50 scooter running way too rich

Hi, Anonymous your instrument gauges and lights can alert you to most electrical and engine issues they can not warn you about failed engine gaskets or seals so your engine has to resort to old fashion alert methods of colored "SMOKE SIGNALS" here is a breakdown of their meaning:
1. COLORLESS OR SLIGHTLY BLUE SMOKE on start-up means your air/fuel mixture is at the right composition and everything is well burnt in your combustion chamber.
2. BLUE SMOKE on start-up is usually caused by failed valve seals dripping oil into the combustion chamber when the engine is not running.
3. YELLOW OR BROWNISH SMOKE at start-up means your air/fuel mixture is too lean. Too lean means that there is low fuel but high air mixture in your combustion chamber.
4. WHITE SMOKE on start-up may be caused by a blown head gasket allowing coolant to enter the combustion chamber and may start dripping out of the exhaust pipes or mufflers. Smoke while riding is usually caused by worn out or damaged valves, seals, guides, pistons, rings, or cylinder walls.
5. BLACK SMOKE on start-up is usually caused by too much fuel in the combustion chamber this can be due to air/fuel mixture adjustment too rich, accelerator pump improperly adjusted, faulty choke/enrichner or not in the off position, air filter dirty and clogged, faulty carburetor float needle and seat, pilot jet too large, fuel injectors leaking, smoke while riding is usually caused by the main jet being too large or a damaged carburetor.
It should be noted that aggressive or abnormal throttle operation will cause these conditions to manifest themselves exponentially.

I have yamaha sniper 2009 and only 4000km in odometer but when i start engine in the morning there is a cloudy smoke come i dont understan why.appreciate you help

If this white smoke comes out of the exhaust for the first couple of minutes after the cold start, then it is normal humidity evaporating. But if it insists then it would be better to check it with your dealer.

Hi my yamaha jog -r is smoking really bad any ideas why

Hi, Mad_racer and the usual suspects are:
1. Oil tank/pan overfilled.
2. Restricted oil return line to oil tank/pan.
3. Restricted breather operation.
4. Restricted oil filter.
5. Piston rings badly worn or broken.
6. Valve guides and or seals worn, crushed, missing, or have come off and are literally pumping oil through the valve guide.
7. O-ring damaged or missing from oil pump at crankcase junction (also results in poor engine performance).
8. Auto-Lube not properly adjusted.

02 VW Jetta TDI with ALH engine glow plug

this is a common problem for these cars glow plugs go bad like spark plugs however the smoke would lead to bad mass airflow meter. it is not telling ecu corrcet miss. disconnect mass airflow meter. when cold see if this makes it start better. it should would means you need new m.a.f. glow plug issue take a test light place clamp on positive of battery then pull off glow plug connectors place tip of test light on glow plug the bad one will have a dull light unlike the good one which will be brighter. will need new plugs and wire harness four **** connectors and wire striper and crimper will fix concern good luck

2001 Jetta 1.8T, 100K miles. Smokes when hot.

Ouch! you've got engine coolant in the exhaust from a leak somewhere...DO NOT run this engine until you get someone (dealer is best in this instance) to diagnose ($50-125)
