Mikuni bs32ss doing a carb sync. Where to attach vacuum hose and which screw to adjust. Even the "manual" doesn't identify which screw or where to attach hose. Pictures would be nice. Thanks

Each carb has a small vacuum port on the side above the float bowl, you adjust the idle stop screw to set the tune and sync the carbs. Leave the air fuel mixture screws alone.

Where is the main fuel line intake on my holly 4 barrel carb?

If it has a hose hookup you attach it there with a clamp or if you do not have the proper fitting or fuel line end you will have to get the proper parts.

I cant figure out thye fuel and vaccuum lines

On a carb there are little rubber caps that fit over the points where you attach a carb balancer diagnotic tool. On my Kwak there are four of these attachment points. Three are capped and the fourth is capless and this is where the vacuum hose is attached. The fuel inlet hose is attached to the pipe that feeds the carbs.
Best bet is to google a forum for your particular bike as I can guarantee you are not the first with this question.

Installing carbs

Does it come from the fuel bowl area? Maybe it is just a vent tube for the fuel bowl. Snowmobiles have this kind of setup, just thought maybe its the same.

How to hook up vacuum lines for holley 600 cfm

When attaching vacuum lines, you need to remember only one thing. Mark each hose when you remove it from the original carb (quadrajet?) Hoses that attach to the baseplate are at full vacuum and should be returned to a similar location or to the manifold, using a "tree". Hoses that are connected to the body of the original carb only see vacuum when the throttle is opened. Those can be attached to the fitting on the right side of the front metering block. Most Holley carbs have no provision for the valve located at the front of early Q jets (bowl purge) nor do they have any electrical connections except for the choke mechanism.
The most important vaccuum line is the one for your power brakes. Make sure that one is firmly connected either to the rear of the carb baseplate or the manifold. All other lines are nowhere as critical as that one is..

What is code p0171 on a 2002 z66 avalanche with a 5.3 v8

Hi, the engine is running lean on the left side. Get some carb cleaner, start the engine, and spray the carb cleaner on the intake manifold gaskets. If the engine speed revs a little, replace the gaskets. If not, look for another vacuum leak, like maybe a split in the air inlet hose or on a hose attached to the intake manifold--especially on the driver's side of the engine. If you have more questions or need instructions, please let me know.

I have two loose hoses coming off my petcock? where do they go

On your silverwing you have a "vacuum operated petcock" which means that the carbs draw a vacuum and allow the fuel to flow from the petcock. The front hose is the vacuum hose that should run to the center of the carbs. The second is a drain hose - it's advised that you do have a small hose connect here, so that dirt does not find its way into the petcock. This hose will simply run down past the swing arm to the ground. This would prevent any gas from dumping itself onto the engine if your petcock fails. If your bike runs without the vacuum hose attached, your petcock has failed and will need to be rebuilt.

Fuel line hose came undone from bottom of carb., don't know where to re-connect. This is on a 1996 1200 sportster. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

A fuel feed hose would enter the carbs either from the top or the side. Any hose attached to the carb from the bottom would be a drain hose. Being a drain hose, it is only connected at one end (bottom of the carb) and is free on the other. Normally, there would be a drain screw very near where the drain hose enters the bottom of the carb. The purpose of the drain screw and hose is to allow removal of contaminated, stale fuel or flushing of rust, sand from the carb bowl.

Hope this be of help/idea. Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

2004 honda crf 150 and all of the hoses are off of carb.?

Not positive but on two stroke bikes all but one of your hoses are breather and over flow hoses and are smaller than the fuel line that should come from the front left of the carb and go up to the fuel tank. the rest should come from the carb and have holders attached to the carb feed the line closest to the holder and fit it on the breather hole coming from the carb pertruding outward from the carb. there should be three or four lines and one fuel line.
