Question about 1992 Suzuki GSX 600 F (Katana)

1 Answer

Suzuki katana 600 not running

Bike was having trouble staying running even with the choke on and now it will not start at all. It will turn over though. I have checked the spark plugs for spark and even poured some gas in the carbs to see if it would get it going. The start switch has to be played with a little as well before it even tried to turn over.

Check your starter switch, it may be even grounding, which would cause all these problems

Hi mody
check fuel flow from tank by sucking vacuum hose if fuel runs through if not inspect tap. but if yes pull out carbs and check float needle housing strainer. if is free from particles replace ignition coils and pulse generator.

Air screws 600 katana how many turns?

Back the screw out a quarter of an inch. That is your starting point. After you do that with the bike running slowly back the screw out until it starts running good, then keep turning it until it starts to run bad again then stop and turn it back in 1/4 of an inch and you should have your optimal setting.

I have a 2005 Honda Shadow Spirit 1100 that starts with the choke out but will never warm up. If you turn the choke off it stalls, if you give it gas with the choke on it stalls, If you try to start it...

this sounds more like a fule problem to me, try striping the carbs out and clean all the jets out, also check the fule it reaching the carbs and its not a blocked fule tank or filter as this bike is just not getting any fule to the engine after cleaning the carbs it should run ok, but just to be on the safe side get some cleaner and tip it into the fule tank also

Fuel problem

You have carburetor issues my friend, take those things apart and clean them. Probably time to rebuild them if they have never been apart yet.

Idols to high

There should be an idle adjustment located behind one of the side fairings, its usually a black dial mounted to the case somewhere low.
