SOURCE: 05 R1 battery fully charged wont start. make a

Faulty start solenoid? Check the starter sice of this electric switch with the power on and the start switch depressed. If you have no voltage at this point, the solenoid is suspect. If you have power and no start ... jump power directly to the starter to see if it will run.

SOURCE: battery is fine, but upon starting only makes buzzing sound

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, have the battery externally charged and/or load tested. This is just to verify its current output capacity not just the voltage.

Offhand, the "...loud buzzing sound..." indicates that the starter relay is cycling on/off on a fast rate. This could only be brought about by the supply voltage going up & down. Possibilities then are:

  • loose, corroded battery terminals / connectors & other electricals including the engine and frame ground straps.(most likely);
  • faulty starter relay (likely);
  • faulty charging system (likely);
  • weak or about to fail battery (least likely).
Postback results / updates on above checks.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

Getting my bmw f 650 sg ready for the road after winter, charged the battery and installed it but when I turn the ignition on I get a sickly buzzing sound,but the motor will not turn over

probably your battery cant take a full charge or has a few cells not working hook up another car so you can use jumper leads to start your car ( I am sure someone you know has them ?) that way you can get your car running etc but it is still possible that your battery can not take a full charge or is faulty under load , and should be easy to answer this question after you start it and give it a good run for a hour or two , and park it over night , if it makes the ticking sound ( this is a normal flat battery noise)when you try to start it the next day and it will not turn over the motor your battery is stuffed

It wont start! replaced the battery just today it is hooked up my right, but i get nothing but lights and gages. it wont even turn over to start. it makes a buzzing sound but nothing happens

The buzzing sound is coming from the relay on the system .

The problem you have is caused by either a low charge on the battery, corroded battery connections, or a faulty battery cable. You may have a new battery but it may be well down on power. Get a battery charger, disconnect the new battery and charge the battery slowly for 12 hours or so and retry. Also make sure your cable connections at the battery are perfectly clean and free of corrosion and are firmly clamped to the battery terminals.

Why does my 2000 Ford Ranger stall frequently?

Hey Dave how's it going ? You very well may have a relay going bad but check the basics first ! Battery , cable connections , charging system output etc.. Had a ford focus I was checking out , had a relay behind the center of the dash clicking on an off really fast , the battery saver relay it was ! This relay was controlled by the GEM - generic electronic relay . I messed around replacing the relay , an the problem was still there . I then check the charging system an found it was over charging , took it to the parts an had it checked . Voltage regulator was bad .

My car wont start and electric systems seem to be spacing out

That sounds like most systems are being under-voltaged, check the battery voltage and charge it or replace it if necessary

Ride on mower makes buzzing sound in engine but wont start

Sounds like your starter solenoid is buzzing. This means either the battery connections need to be cleaned, or the battery needs charged and possibly replaced. Check the connections at the starter and the solenoid. The solenoid is usually mounted to the back of the dash plate. If you have access to a load tester check the battery after charging and see if voltage is at 12.6 volts and that it passes the load test. Hope this helps, plese post solved on fixya.com.So I get credit more info.for a solved problem if it does. If not, check back and give me

Ride on mower makes buzzing sound in engine but wont start

check all wire connections to the battery and the starter and check the battery for being a good charge. the buzz sound is from not enough voltage or current getting to the starter.

I ran out of gas and put some back in now my car is making a buzzing sound and the lights are flicking when i try to start it

Sounds like you have flattened the battery, the buzzing sound is the starter solenoid tripping in and out due to low power so the lights start flicking, charge battery or boost start from another vehicle

Dead battery making a clicking sound

take the battery out of the veh and see if it will charge overnight on a charger, if not then the bat just ran its course I doubt it is 11 years old. Bats last anywhere from 3 to 5 years then they die if it does charge then your alternator needs to be replaced as it charges the battery when you drive, low voltage may cause the buzzing, tellin gyou there is a problem.
