Parked bike around 4:30 in afternoon after ride home from work. Went to ride around 7:00 and switch would turn on but had no lights or nuetral indicator light and bike would not start. Yes I checked the on/off switch ,batterie chartge and fuses under the seat. What did I miss.

Thanks for the help who ever was involved. Just for some insight I pulled the ignition switch housing off and found a short in the connector plug. A.J.

Check relays they go bad and your starter button will not respond. if start motor turns then check wiring to spark system. or get a kicker!

Why won't my lights work?

Have you checked the wiring to the lights. Sounds like you have a wire that has shorted to ground. Would also explain your battery drain. I'd check the wiring before the ignition switch since it is draining your battery with the switch in the off position.

Rear brake problems

"pedal all the way down, no movement of caliper"
Sounds like hydraulic problem.

Check if you have enough brake fluid.

If so, it could be a bad master cylinder.
Rear brake light switch won't work without hydraulic pressure (which also works the caliper), while front brake light switch is mechanical.

02 Mean Streak has no power

It sounds like a power "chip" that controls a set numbers of switches.

Bike won't start and head light won't come on

Battery probably! did it push start? because if it did,,,, you should continue to ride it for awhile to recharge the battery.... that is if the voltage regulator is working o.k. check battery voltage, if its only 12v the regulator is probably going out.

Wont start

This bike is probably equipped with immobilizer system and you should have a red key along with two black ones.
That means that if the ECU does not detect the correct key code from the IC inside the key, it will neither give power to the fuel pump nor to the spark plugs.
The main key switch has a lot of wire in 2 groups. One big and one small (thin).Which wires did you jumped?

Nuetral light

hello and welcome
the fact that playing with the reverse helps with this condition tells me that the reverse lever switch or its workings are faulty. the reverse lever turns a cam. that cam rides against a switch this switch controls whether the bike shows in reverse or neutral. it can come out of adjustment or the switch can fail. the top sheltering plastic and the side plastic on the reverse lever side must be removed to fix or diagnose the switch.
