How to free up clutch on honda shadow

if it stuck from being stood that's due to corrosion on the clutch plates the steel plates rust and stick to the friction plates, two ways to do it
1st is to start the bike get someone to give you a good push then put in in 1st gear, hold the clutch in and open and close the throttle quite quickly ,hold on as it will jerk about a bit and possibly wheelie.that should do it if it doesn't
2nd,Take the clutch cover off and undo the clutch bolts that hold the pressure plate on and manually separate the plates ,clean them up with some fine wet and dry sandpaper and re assemble it..

Working on a 1987 1100 honda shadow trying to bleed clutch got good pressure at master cyclinder but can't get no pressure at the slave cyclinder bleeder

There are 2 holes at the bottom of the master cylinder, one is really small, clean them with hard thin wire while squeeze the clutch lever.
It is O.K., if you get a bubble when you released the lever.

I have a 2004 honda shadow 750 the clutch was sliping so we tore it down and put a new one in now every time we put it in gear it jumps forward and dies

you improperly installed the clutch pack. Make sure the disc count is correct. Also make sure the clutch pressure plate was properly installed. It has an alignment mark on it.

1986 Honda VT 1100 C goes into gear but won't move

Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Clutch cable adjusted too tight.
2. Pressure plate center screw adjusted too tight
3. A broken clutch rod.
4. Slave cylinder piston stuck.
5. Clutch plate missing from the clutch pack.
6. Clutch plates have worn past minimum specifications.
7. Clutch plates crystallized due to incompatible oil.

1994 1100 shadow, clutch wont disengage, and stuck in gear even when not running

Check if clutch plates are sticky, and check the clutch slave cylinder operation. If plates are sticky, put them in engine oil over night.

1989 shadow 1100, been sitting for a few months, I started it and let it warm up then shifted to 1st gear the bike jumped forward like i didnt have the clutch in. after a few more minutes of idle/warm up...

The cluthc discs were stuck together, this is a common problem with wet multi disc setups. You have gotten it broken loose now the best thing for it is to take it on the road and ride it. Just working the clutch will smooth any bits of stuck clutch material off the discs. Get out and ride to fix it, kind of like getting a perscription for ice cream!
