Your bike takes premium fuel. It is not designed to run on regular.

Starts when could doesn't like to idle

How could you possibly clean the fuel injectors???? OR test them??? what would you test??? Flow??? I do not know how you would do that either. You could check for a leaky fuel injector but I would be very interested in what you mean when you say you have tested the injectors. Please post a comment. So, you know that all fuel stabilizers that I know of do not stabilize gasoline but only ethanol and you should be running a premium high test fuel that would not contain ethanol. Gasoline will deteriorate over time if oxygen is present so always store a bike with the fuel tank fully topped up with premium high grade fuel to lessen the chances and effect of fuel deterioration. Did you empty the fuel tank and refill with fresh premium high test fuel. Did you install new plugs??? Did you do a running fuel pressure test??? Did you do a running battery voltage test and have running voltage of 11 VDC minimum or higher??? Bad plugs, low fuel pressure, low fuel flow, plugged air filter, plugged exhaust will not set a dtc. Is there a mouse nest in the induction or exhaust system. Is there possibly an intake leak??? This van be very important?? Did you do a coil resistance etc check?? The more information you provide the better. Just off the top of my mind if the plugs are new and there is no rodent plugging of intake or exhaust system I would test running fuel pressure and then replace with a new or known good set of injectors as my starting point.

2007 Yamaha Roadstar will not run unless the choke is wide open

Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Fuel cap or fuel tank is not venting properly.
2. Fuel filter clogged.
3. Fuel line pinched or kinked.
4. Float needle and seat sticking.
5. Float level too low.
6. Carburetor bowl vent line clogged/blocked/pinched.
7. Idle adjusting screw set too low.
8. Air/fuel mixture screw set too lean.
9. Idle port, transfer ports, slow air jet clogged.
10. Slow fuel jet clogged.
11. Faulty fuel pump.

I have a 2008 v-star custom 650, when i just turn on the key theirs a click noise jusr under the front side of the tank, what is that other then that it rund and rides great.

Pretty sure your bike has a fuel pump to assist getting fuel to carbs.....very typical to hear the pump click a few times to refill carbs prior to startup....once the carbs fill it stops till the carbs use some fuel......actual the fuel pump is clicking away as needed when the bike is just can no longer hear it over the engine noise.

I am trying to help a friend out and get his 08 nightster 1200 running for him. this bike has been sitting for almost a year. took tank off and cleaned it out and installed new battery for this unit. ...

Make sure the fuel line from the tank to the injector is seated fully. The fittings must be secure for fuel to flow from the pump. Make sure the pump is plugged in to the harness, and the fuse is good. There is a way to check the fuel pressure, but you will need the proper fitting to hook to the tank along with a pressure guage. It is possible that the fuel line from the pump inside the tank is cracked or not hooked to the pump or tank outlet. Hope this helps.

Will not go above 4500 revs power loss, overheating.

It sounds as if the engine is running very lean, this can be caused by several things. Firstly the fuel filter you have installed, is it pointing in the correct direction (Fuel in and Fuel out), also is it a high pressure filter? If not remove it. Another thing that causes problems is the fuel pump could have a problem, it is also possible the gauze filter on it is clogged. Next check the fuel you have and make sure it has no water in it, to clear small amounts of water you can get a tank of ethanol, this will mix water and burn it off as you ride (Don't us a big mix E10 should be sufficient) if you don't like the ethanol, empty the tank of ethanol and refill with regular fuel.

Fuel pump not running on 1995 F150 Ford Fuses good Swapped relay Twin tanks

if neither tank is working check the selector switch it is responsible for energizing both fuel pumps depending on the selection, if you have power to switch and power leaving switch than either its lost on the way to the fuel pump or the pump is bad in this case both?to confirm you must check for power at the pump, easiest is the front tank.

Regular fuel causing engine problems?

I've never heard of anyone having issues like that from lower octane, and I never have with my carbed bike. I'd rather think you got a bit of water somewhere...possibly in the regular fuel...or it was already in the tank and the fuel is just a confusing factor. Use a little dry-gas and try it again.

I got on the highway and for about 25 miles my engine kept (stalling/cutting out?) and then coming back on again after a few seconds. The engine light would come on the rpms would drop off for about 1 second and then the engine would come back on again. Almost like it was running out of gas but there was plenty of gas left. It happened about 10 times and when I finally got to a gas station I filled it up again on premium. On the way back home the stalling problem happened one time and then I had no problems after that. Has anyone else had this problem with regular 87 octane gasoline? By the way I ride a 695 with a Termignoni exhaust system. The engine was cold when the stalling started happening but kept occurring even when the temp was running 212. I would appreciate any comments and advice.I've never heard of anyone having issues like that from lower octane and I never have with my carbed bike.
