Stalling Problem


Best start would be to replace the fuel filter... not a difficult job and pretty cheap, too... should take you all of 10 minutes to do. It'll be located under the car on one side or the other. just follow the fuel line from the tank, you'll find it.

Car started then stalled and now car cranks but won't start plenty of gas in tank


Turn key on but dont turn motor listen for humming on either side in back of car,.if you hear nothing your fuel pump or fuel pump relay needs to be replaced..Also if you tend to run car to almost empty your fuel filter might be plugged. Running close to empty causes all the rust from the bottom of the tank to plug the filter.

go to an auto parts store and get a can of gasoline additive called seafoam. Read the label so you know how much to add to your 6 gallon tank. This stuff works wonders on outboard motors.

Was running-stalled-turns over but will not fire.gas guage wont move and gas light stays on


check and make sure you have plenty of fuel in the tank. gas light should not be on as long you have plenty of fuel in the tank unless you have faulty fuel level sensor. check if you getting sparks and fuel, pull wire and one plug out, ground it to the vech have a friend turn over the engine and see if you getting strong sparks. no sparks check coil having 12V, good coil, cam sensor faulty. check if you getting fuel, pulling hose from the fuel filter line, point it down ward wrapping the end with clothes covering the hose and turn the engine over, see if you getting proper fuel and good pressure coming out of the line using your thumb slightly cover the fuel line. no pressure or fuel, check the fuel pump, good pump, faulty crank sensor. both crank and cam sensor work the same way, one telling computer to send sparks to the plugs and other turn on the fuel pump.

Stalls when under load "driving"


Check the ignition module. My car would run fine until it came up to full temp and then run bad. I continued driving the car while trying to diagnose the problem. It got worse and then one day the car stalled as if it ran out of gas (still had plenty in the tank). I was able to coast it into a parking spot and called for a ride. Upon returning, I tried to start it, started right up and ran fine. On the way home it started acting up again (once it was up to temp). It turned out to be the ignition module.

I got on the highway and for about 25 miles my engine kept (stalling/cutting out?) and then coming back on again after a few seconds. The engine light would come on the rpms would drop off for about 1 second and then the engine would come back on again. Almost like it was running out of gas but there was plenty of gas left. It happened about 10 times and when I finally got to a gas station I filled it up again on premium. On the way back home the stalling problem happened one time and then I had no problems after that. Has anyone else had this problem with regular 87 octane gasoline? By the way I ride a 695 with a Termignoni exhaust system. The engine was cold when the stalling started happening but kept occurring even when the temp was running 212. I would appreciate any comments and advice.I've never heard of anyone having issues like that from lower octane and I never have with my carbed bike. I'd rather think you got a bit of water somewhere...possibly in the regular fuel...or it was already in the tank and the fuel is just a confusing factor. Use a little dry-gas and try it again.,,,
