Hi, Dan I would really love to help you with your bike question but due to the magnitude of yesterday's solar flare the batteries in my crystal ball are dead and my mental telepathy headset circuitry was melted. I need the year, make, and model of your motorcycle please click on the word "COMMENT" below and provide this information in the box that will open and then click on the green comment box in the bottom right-hand corner after it posts I will receive an "ALERT" icon that will allow me to respond to your information. Good luck and have a wonderful day.

Is this a Kill switch you installed? Or is this a factory type item? Any kill switch I put in and I have installed about 20. Usually goes between the battery and the starter. I hide them under the left front area of the seat. Mounted to the frame or motor mount. Whichever is less conspicuous. This way when I straddle the bike I place my hand on the seat at the front and just toggle the switch. And nobody is the wiser. Have fun with this, I usually do!

Most likely your kill SW when in run mood, you will have an open contact at your kill SW. When you are in kill mood the SW will be closed, this will go to ground, thus killing the motor. One way to check the kill SW is to disconnect the SW and ck for spark

Kill switch for 50 hp mercury outboard motor

Hey Dan,
this depends on what type of kill switch you have...
one type kills (breaks the hot wire) the connection and one type makes the connection to ground..(grounds it out).. try to bypass the kill switch to see if it will run..

Engine stalls when enaging blades

You must hav a loose or broken wire going to one of the safety switches. There are usually several. The seat has one, the Transmission selector, and blade engagement. It KILLS the engine to prevent operators form being KILLED. Do NOT Bypass. With engine off examine the wiring and look for loose or broken/ dammaged wiring. Then do operational test. BE Careful.

I need help i have a 1990 yz 125 i have fire from the scatter plate to the cdi box i also have fire from cdi box what i need to know is how to hook it up to the kill switch and the coil

you run the positive lead from the cdi to the positive lead on the coil.... then somewhere between the negative lead on the coil and the frame/engine ground you splice in the kill switch.........what that does is breaks the ground when you push the kill switch which then kills the spark to the motor

Cant get a spark from ht leads on cb250 motor bike

Be CERTAIN the battery is good. Are all fuses good? Try brand new spark plugs. Disconnect the kill switch on the handle bar. Check the side stand kill switch for proper operation. Have the shop check the CDI ignition.

Please rate this solution. Thanks!

Panel control

Check to see it he belt is good, there is a kill switch on the belt which will stop the operation. Could be a broken belt or bad switch. Spin the drum if it is too easy then it is the belt.
