Best bet if new oil filter as well, drain and let drip to get the dregs out, make sure it is warm, refit drain plug and refill, amount should be on the casing next to filler plug.

I dont know exactly how much oil you need, when you put oil in your motorbike you can see a small window glass( right side) on your engine. just put oil up to middle of it.

no not the middle it has a line near the top and one near the bottom, fill to the top, replace cap, run bike shut off motor, let stand a minuet, re check sight glass, alsway put a amount of oil in the oil filte.

I have a 1996 gsxr 750 the crank case was full of gas any ideas what is the matter

You left your petcock on, the fuel bowls over filled and the gas went into your crankcase

DON'T START THE BIKE WITH GAS IN THE CRANKCASE YOU WILL BLOW THE MOTOR.

Empty the gas, put in fresh oil, run engine, then change oil and filter again and you are done.

I just bought a 96 GSX 750F and it didnt come with a manual. I need to change the oil but not sure what type of oil it takes or how much to put in.

You can try calling the local Suzuki service department and ask. They should be able to look up the information and let you know. This bike should also have an oil filter that you will need to change as well, so a stop by the dealer might be better. Try e-bay to see if you can find an owners manual or a service manual. If you have a motorcycle wrecking yard near you they might have an owners manual as well.

Good Luck!

How do i know if i need to change the oil cooler on my 90 suzuki katana 750

The only reason to change it would be an oil leak you can't fix. Keep the oil reasonably clean and there should be no problems.
