Twin 250 yamaha one motor has a miss between 900 1800 rpm I have installed new plugs no change both motors are using the same main gas tanh?

Hey Walt,
Let me get this straight.. you have two (2) motors in one frame..??What year are the engines? how do you have them connected?.. OR..are you talking about swapping 2 engines in and out of one frame... if so, and they both exhibit the same miss, the problem stays with the frame when you swap motors, the problem is in the electrical system in the frame.

Trying too establish what year this motor is it a 2 stroke 80 hp 6hoL450289 yamaha outboard motor.

Try contacting Yamaha direct or a reputable outboard dealers for the address, they will point you in the right direction, like all motors manufactured the makers keep a record of the serial number, i recently tracked this down for a friends Perkins Diesle engine that is running a generator in the middle of Spain, it turns out that his engine came from a 1912 lorry.

Good luck

Hi, I have a RD Yamaha?(circa 1974) I believe it has a 350cc motor. The frame and motor were two different bikes, The frame and engine number is different. How can I check that the engine is I think is a...

The CC's are on the bottom of the cylinders..cast into them.. should be on the outside, bottom where the cylinders meet the cases..
If you remove the head... this will define it.. the 350 has a bore / stroke, 64 mm × 54 mm (2.5 in × 2.1 in)

I have an old 97cc 4 stroke yamaha engine, i have the #that is stamped on the engine what i need to know is the year,so i can order carb parts.ty

Contact a Yamaha dealer with the frame and engine #'s . They have a microfiche they can use to ID the motorcycle year and model. If all you have is the motor # only , they may only be able to ID early Yamaha's from the 1970's.

I bought dirt bike for husband! is 2005 yamaha yz250 a 2-stroke or 4-stroke? i'm not sure if it's yz250 or yz250f now that i'm to get posted i'm not sure of year. sleeve around cable say nov 2005

Congrats on the purchase! easy way to tell look at the exhaust pipe. if it is just a thin tube that is tight to the engine and goes right to the muffler it is a 4 stroke (250f). the four strokes have a square-ish head. Deep/bass-y engine sound. If you have a large (probably black) exhaust pipe with a large bulge in it (5-6" diameter) that wraps around the front of the frame, its a 2-stroke. They have a more round cylinder head. Beautiful pingy sound and a little smokey at start up. DON'T FORGET TO MIX YOUR GAS!!! there should be a serial number sticker at the very front of the frame (behind the number plate where your triple clamp/handlebars connect) Probably on the left side. Hope it helps! rate please :)

Oily watery stuff coming out off the exhaust, oil pump is set ok

is this bike a yamaha rd 350 twin cylinder 2 stroke? if so, its air cooled and you should not be getting a ltr of water.. but it is common for them to have a "oily" fluid come out the exhaust because it is a 2 stroke. but not alot. it comes from the engine not burning all the oil gas mix. does the engine spit and sputter? make sure there is no water in the tank, make sure the air filter is clean and buy hotter spark plugs. also adjusting the fuel air mixture may help. hope this helps...
