Hi, Jack the answer to this question is way above my pay grade for this situation, I would call or visit my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry.
Good luck and have a wonderful day.

Go to the site below where you can see a parts diagram for your specific ATV. Being able to see the parts in secquence should help you to reassemble the motor. Get a new friend. You will select the actual brand, year, model, etc., once you go to the site. Part numbers and prices are also shown. You can order parts from this site. In the event no price is shown on a particular part and/or the notation "Not Available" is in the description, the part is not in stock. www.babbittsonline.com/pages/parts/viewbybrandand/parts.aspx

I have an 1987 cbr 600 that wont shift out of neutral. Bike sat for about a year and it shifted fine before that. ????

There is a very very good chance the clutch plates have fused together. When they sit around and not move they can bond together. If you have the tools and gear, you can pull the clutch apart, separate all the plates, give them a clean and put it back together. In EXACTLY the same order as they came apart. Not flipped. Not turned around, but in exactly the same order.
Now.If you take it to a bike shop, they WILL charge the hell out of you.Good chance they will hit you up for new clutch plates etc.If you can walk in and know what job you want done, and the REASON you want the job done, you are miles ahead.Don't get caught out!!! most will try and rip you off.It is an easy fix!
Before you go there. Will the bike shift into gear,if is not running? If so,what I said above stands. If not,Come back to me.
When trying to put it into gear with the motor NOT running, rock the bike back and forth.Just to see if it does go into gear
Hope this helps

Clicking in dash sounds like turn signal relay. We think it may be hazard switch malfunction anyone know ?

we have an 03 grand am and took to mechanic. he replaced relay behind dash in center area behind radio. it still made clicking noise and he said it needed a new 250.00 plus turnsignal switch. went to junkyard and got one for 14.00. but it didnt help

we disconnected battery ( hoping that would eliminate chance of air bag going off) took out turn signal switch. placed switch on bench and took it apart with a T-10 torx bit. and cleaned TURN signal contact points with cloth. regreased a little with some of the grease that was in there. (not sure what kind of grease it is) Put back together and it seemed to eliminate clicking noise.

79 gs550 - uh ohs in wiring...

When you reassembled the bike did you pinch any of the wiring harnesses? Trace the wiring through the bike and make sure everything has a solid connection between their respective power sources and activation switches. Alot of time bikes run wiring under the gas tanks so you need to make sure that you didnt cut anything when pputting it back on (if you removed the tank)

Cracked screen

these units are so fragile that you are undertaking very skilled surgery. it maybe that somehting became unplugged or pressured on the putting back together. Now that you have done it once, I would suggest taking it apart again and just putting it back together, it maybe that it will work the second time! there is no reset button that I know of. let me know if this helps.
