Question about 2006 Harley Davidson XL 1200 C Sportster Custom
After a hour or so of riding shut the bike off, when I go to restart the check engine light and battery light come on until I give it a little throttle and then they go out until the next start up this just started to happen it's a 2006 xl 1200c just bought it 6 weeks ago from the dealer has a new battery they put in.

I have just found my 30 amp fuse blown on my daytona , this prevents the alternator working , it was reading 10.9v before I changed the 30 amp fuse , now it reads 14.5 volts , I think I blew it as I didnt know how to put the alarn into service mode and left the ignition on , anyway I am hoping its just that , 3 heat up/cool down cycles and the engine management light should go out

Those engine lights come on because something is causing an engine code, the code can only be read by the HD dealer with their digital tech program. They plug your bike into it and it displays the error code, they may be able to delete the code and it might never come back again or there might be a real problem.
