Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: I have a 71 sportster 900 that battery keeps running down

Have you "polarized" the voltage regulator? The 1971 had a mechanical regulator on it from the factory. With the generator and regulator on the bike and connected, using a jumper wire, MOMENTARILY jump the generator "armature" terminal to the positve post of the battery. See if this helps.

2006 Harley Davidson XL 1200 C Sportster Custom PN Code number

Hi, Michael PN is not a fault code they usually show up at the end of a diagnostic search for generated error codes that are active or non-active that have been resolved but not cleared. They are part numbers that identify electrical components that are currently installed on the bike. 68920-01 is the turn signal security alarm module. 67436-04 is the speedometer.

Bike Junps out of 1st gear

If this is on a 2005 Sportster like this page is showing, I'd suspect the shifter pawl in the primary. You'll probably have to pull the clutch assembly off to get to it.

Good Luck

Cant get side casing off to get to starter motor out on my harley 1200 sportster

Take the derby cover off. Remove the small spring and the lock nut for the clutch adjuster. Turn the clutch adjuster screw clockwise while at the same time gently pull the cover off. This should do it.
