Try turning the key on an off several times . There is a check valve inside the fuel pump module that is suppose to keep pressure in the fuel lines . This check valve being bad could cause this problem . When you first turn the key on the PCM - engine computer energize's the fuel pump for two seconds to prime the system , but if the check valve is bad ,2 seconds isn't enough . If that doesn't do anything your best to have scan data viewed like in these videos . 011 Fuel System Tests Fuel System Scan Data

Testimonial: "Jeff, the fuel pump, the regulator and the ignition wiring harness have been replaced along with a fuel filter. The problem goes away for a day or so then it reoccurs."

Have you replaced any sensors ? Mass air flow , coolant temp ect... Clean the throttle plate ,IAC - idle air control valve .You need to find a diagnostic direction an scan data is the best way.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cnVudBse...

SOURCE: 91 Buick Century 2.5 L brake light on & battery light on

For the Brake light to stay on and the fluid is up...sounds like your sensor is playing dead......

For the battery to die after only (4) hours..you have a very big drain on the battery itself.....without the vehicle right here to look at would be very hard to even guess...electrical problems are a hands on chore...

I'd take it to your garage/mechainc

SOURCE: 1992 Buick Century won't start sometimes but has spark in the plugs.

Faulty cam sensor maybe - it controls the injectors. To diagnose, when you get a non-start, spray a V.small squirt of easy-start(ether) and if it runs a little then you have a fuel issue. The spark timing is controlled by the crankshaft sensor so that can be faulty and cause a mistimed spark but usually you'll get a mis-fire in those cases.

SOURCE: it start but stalls right away

I had the same problem. It was the fuel regulator that was bad in my 99 Regal. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: 1998 buick century security light stays on but

The security system (VATS/PassKey) is having problems, it's typical on those cars and it gets worse till the car won't start anymore. You can find a great write-up here: http://newrockies.ca , it was the only thing that saved my Park Avenue.

2004 Buick Century Custom starting issues

Sounds like the fuel pump is bleeding down when it sits, the fuel pressure regulator could be leaking into the engine or if the engine misses when it first starts it could be a leaking injector. Do this, check the test port for pressure with the key on engine off if there's pressure cycle the switch again and then let it sit for 5 minutes then recheck and if there's no pressure disconnect and plug the fuel line going into the fuel rail or regulator then cycle the switch again and if it still loses pressure and there are no visible external leaks it's the fuel pump.

1998 Buick century hard to start when warm

Although this is almost impossible to diagnose without access to the vehicle, it is quite common for the Mass Airflow Sensor to get dirty and cause this kind of issue. I would remove it and clean it. Cleaners are available at almost any automotive parts retailers.

I own a 2005 Buick Century. I am currently experience an issue that comes and goes at total random. The car will run fine but after shutting it down the next time i go to start it the car will start and...

It sounds to me like you might have some carbon left in the EGR exhaust passage which breaks loose at random and lodges in the EGR valve holding it open. Once the carbon moves through everything returns to normal. I would suggest removing the EGR valve, plugging the intake poassage, starting the engine and reving it a few times to blow out any remaining carbon. Reinstall the valve and see what happens. Otherwise you can visually check the passage for any remaining carbon.

It sounds to me like the fuel system is not getting primed during the initial start up. By cycling the key several times, the fuel pump has time to deliver enough fuel to start the engine. The inexpensive way to go at this point is to change the fuel filter. It is cheap and one of the first things to check. Hope this helps.
