It seems tht it also doesn't start wth the choke in 'off' position.
Two things:- (1) :-check if the spark plug is wet wth fuel.(Crank it for a little cranks and thn remove the spark plug to check if its wet.)
(2) :- check if you do get sparks at the spark plug, by grounding it to the engine away from any fuel fumes!
I am sure one of the two is missing thts why its not starting.
Let me know the out come please.

What is the float level on a cr125 2003

Special Requirements
  • Motocross bikes like the 1994 CR125 have a few special needs. If a motorcycle takes jumps, its orientation changes, so it has to have a carburetor sympathetic to that need. Otherwise, you may find yourself airborne with no fuel to make adjust the position of the bike by blipping the throttle or to make a smooth transition by rolling the throttle on when you land. Another consideration is that motocross bikes fall over more often the street bikes. So, they need a carburetor that can withstand a little abuse. The Keihin PJ 36 has a vertical plunger-choke, smaller and more protected than tab-chokes often found on street bikes, making less apt to get damaged if you tip the bike over, or pick up debris.

Hard to start how do the choke work

The choke is automatic. If the bike is having that much difficulty starting you need to have the bike serviced and the carburetor gone thru.

Sometimes my car starts and sometimes it does not. everything is on in my car but engine won"t turn over. i let it sit for a long period of time and it starts. what could be worg with it?

The first thing I'd suspect would be the distributor cap & rotor, but my 2003 PT Cruiser manual says:

1 - Inspect Fuel Injector Pressure Regulator --- Faulty Fuel Injector Pressure Regulator.
2 - Inspect Carburetor Float --- Faulty Choke Float.
3 - Inspect Choke Pulloff --- Faulty Choke Pulloff.
4 - Inspect Choke Thermostat --- Stuck or Improperly Functioning Choke Thermostat.
5 - Inspect Fuel Injector Cold Start Valve --- Damaged or Faulty Cold Start Valve.
6 - Inspect Spark Plugs --- Fouled Spark Plugs.
7 - Inspect Relay - Fuel Pump --- Faulty Fuel Pump Relay.
8 - Inspect PCV Valve --- Plugged or Damaged PCV Valve.
9 - Inspect Carburetor --- Choke Not Operating.

2003 Suszuki DRZ difficult to start.

Make sure you are using the choke - which is actually not a choke, but a fuel enrichment circuit in the carburetor. The lever is located down on the carburetor. Also, you can try draining the fuel from the carburetor float bowl. Sometimes, just enough water will collect in there to make it difficult to start when cold.

Should I clean my Bajaj Boxer AT Motorcycle carburetor after 5000 Km or each 2 years which ever comes first? (This is not mean for entire motorcycle servicing and I am asking about only carburetor)

if you have an inline filter in your fuel line and run good quality clean fuel,i would not clean out the carb if it doesnt need it,you will know when the carb needs cleaning out as the bike will start to perform poorly, but if there is nothing wrong and the bike is going fine leave the carb alone,in other words, dont fix what isnt broken..hope this helps
