SOURCE: my brake lights and turn

You need to check the bulbs first. When one bulb on one side of a vehicle goes bad, it makes the other bulb on a side (front) blink fast.

SOURCE: front signals wont flash

You will have to replace the plug where your bulb plugs in. Expensive about $30.00+ from your dealer. Look to see if it isn't burned inside. You can get them from RockAuto and save about $10.00

SOURCE: fill transmission

Through the plug you look through to check the primary chain tension. About a 2" opening near the top center of the primary cover. This is the same as all Sportsters.

SOURCE: left turn signal an speedometer

There was a recall on the speedometers about 2004.
Some were defective and just quit working. H-D replaced them for free. Not sure about your year/model, but I would contact a dealer or area service rep to see if it falls under the guidelines.

My left blinker flashes rapidly when key on but doesnt blink. and my horn doesnt work 2005 883 sportster

You may have 2 problems. One may be the turn signal bulb is blown which causes the fast blinking. Or, your turn signal wires may have caused a fuse to blow which has resulted in the signal flashing and no horn if they are on the same circuit. Check all your fuses.

Wiring problems on 2000 Harley 883 Sportster Motorcycle. Bike was dropped busting right rear turn signal assembly. I replaced that turn signal, but it does not work. Wiring seems totally wierd as what...

If you have two wires that go to the turn signal and they don't work one way. You could try them switched around.
This is for a turn signal that is NOT also a running light. (Yellow Lens to Rear)
Use a test light and turn on the turn signal test both wires with the test light clipped to the ground or chassis of the bike. The wire that causes the light to blink will be the positive or hot side. That wire should attach to the bottom of the bulb.
The other wire is the Ground or common and that should attach to the side of the bulb holder.

1986 HD sportster 883 bought without turn signals. Located two wires on both forks and two single wires to rear signals. How do I wire led's? Tried and all 4 lights illuminate with either turn signal and...

Your bike came with front running lights (black wire) and turn signals. The wire color for the turn signals are gray wires. The grey turn signal wires have small rubber bands on them to indicate which side they are for. A brown tag indicates right turn signals and a violet tag indicates left turn signals. If you need a schematic, I have one but I cannot send it via this forum. This forum only allows for a 150Kb picture and the schematic is larger than that. I'll be glad to scan the schematic and send it to you if you'll contact me directly at [email protected] Remind me that you need a schematic for a 1986 Sporty.

Turn signals will work some times if motor is not

low voltage can make them stop flashing. If the battery is good, a new flasher can may be needed, A wrong wattage or blown bulb can cause the same problem.
