could but not likely. sounds like you may have a wireing problem or you could check all coils too se if one is grounding out. also check all fuses and relays.

First check the silly things. Is there fuel in it? (Yes, I've done that!). If it is fitted with a 'dead' switch have you turned it off?
Next check the battery. Cold starts are hard work even for new ones. A multimeter set to volts should show about 12.6v at fully charged. If it is below that and it has been struggling to start you might need to get the battery charging system tested as a 125cc engine should start easily on a fresh battery.
Next check the air filter is clean. A dirty filter can have a bigger effect than you think.
When was it last serviced? Old spark plugs can become weak and not fire properly.
check connection from battery to starter solenoid. try crossing the solenoid connecting the 2 bolts on it together with spanner, does this turn the engine.. it the engine/frame earthed to the battery
A new battery means that the power supply seems good. Now what is most important for the bike to fire up is a good spark and fuel supply and our observation must be directed to this section. So remove the plugs and check spark, if not seen then the HT coils and the IGNITION triger from the system must be checked , rectified or replaced. Secondly the fuel suppy to the cylinder must be checked as you open the plugs the presence will be seen if there was an overflow without spark. If so pump out and replace plug only when the spark intensity is confirmed.
your injector or fuel pump may be going out, next time when you check the issue, check your distubutor again and making sure you getting sparks, if you do have sparks than it has to be your fuel problems.
do a basic test .try starting the bike, then take out a spark plug. is it wet or dry? if its dry, no gas getting into the combustion chamber. if its wet, place the thread of the pluged in spark plug against any engine metal, crank the engine and look for a good blue spark. no spark or an orange spark means ignition problem.
Check for spark first of all. If no spark, is the kill switch on? Is the side stand up? It should be up when starting. Is the bike in neutral? Check the fuses.
If spark is present, is the gas turned on? How clean is the air filter?
If the bike still will not start go ahead and drain the carbs. If your bike has a water trap bowl behind the gas valve then remove the bowl, clean and reinstall it.
Doing this should get you back on the road.
Please rate this solution. Thanks!
