How do i loosen the nut on end of steering shaft?


Allow the steering to turn to stop and turn the nut counter clockwise. Should have a lockwasher and should spin right off. Or you could use an air impact to remove it.

2007 f350 cluch fan quit working


To remove clutch fan: 1. Remove the fan shroud. Remove the top screws & the two side screws with a socket & ratchet. 2. Remove the top radiator hose by using a screwdriver to loosen the clamps. 3. Hook the ends of the water pump pulley lock on the bolts on the outside of the water pump pulley. 4. Remove the large nut on the fan with the 1-1/16 wrench by turning counter clockwise. 5. Replace the fan by holding the nut perfectly level with the water pump post & start the nut by hand. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There's two 1/2 inch nuts on the side of the cover from which the bar protrudes.
Remove these nuts and the cover -- leave the bar loosely in place.
Look for a slot-head chain-tensioning screw (may be on front under the bar, or perhaps on the side).
Turn this tensioning screw counter clockwise -- you will notice a pin moving back towards the drive clutch -- this pin fits into a hole on the bar and is used to set the chain tension by pushing the bar away from the drive clutch.
Once it is loosened, the bar can be pulled closer to the drive clutch, allowing you to fit the chain back onto the bar -- be careful to align the drive teeth on the chain into the slots on the drive clutch.
When the chain is back in place, turn the tensioning screw clockwise to tighten the chain onto the bar.
Replace the cover and put the nuts back on only finger-tight.
Tighten the chain some more using the tensioning screw.
Tighten the 1/2 inch nuts fully.
Note: The chain needs to be quite tight -- lift it by a link and be sure it does not come out all the way from the bar.

If you are facing the blade from where the bolt is, and the blade's normal operation is to turn counter-clockwise, then the bolt will loosen counter-clockwise. This is universally true for any blade which is held on by a center bolt (table saws, grinders, etc.) This is because the motor is turning the shaft counter-clockwise, and the resistance against the blade as it does it's work is clockwise - thus tightening the blade rather than loosening it. If the blade normally turns clockwise, then the bolt will loosen clockwise.

It's been awhile since I saw one of these. Look underneath where the clutch goes into the bell housing and see it there's a threaded rod. On the end of there rod there should be a piece (for lack of a better term) that looks like a blunt arrow head against the fork that engages the throe out bearing.. Threaded rod, nut, blunt arrow head. Put a wrench on the arrow head type part, and loosen the nut that's against it. (the nut locks it in place). Turn the end piece counter-clockwise a few times to reveal more thread, careful not to loosen it all the way off. Then turn the nut back towards it it until it makes contact. Then turn it an additional 1/2-3/4 turn. Essentially what you're doing is making the shaft longer to apply more pressure to the diaphragm, pushing it in further as the clutch disc is getting worn. Start pricing a new clutch, because that's the next step.

If it happens to be hydraulic, that's a whole different matter. But a little ingenuity to reach the same effect could buy you come time.

Turn left/counterclockwise to loosen. You keep the pump from turning by holding the fan blades. Go all way around the fan and loosen the nuts before you take any out. Maybe soaking the bolts iwith PB penetrating catalyst will help free them.

Changing a miter saw blade


lefty-loosey (counter-clockwise). There will be space on the inside of the blade for another wrench to hold the shaft while you loosen the nut. If you've never done it, then you might want a pair of gloves; the blade might be dull on wood, but it'll be sharp on hands!

I found the secret, The tire is suspended buy a cable on a winch, there is a nut on the right hand side under the carpet when you open the rear hath. You turn that counter clockwise to lower and you turn the support sideways trough the hole in rime of tire.
