Need diagram for 01 windstar 3.8L cylinder and coil terminal location

The coil pack is located on the wiper side of the engine, mounted on the rocker cover with 3 bolts. As they age, cracks form on the casing, allowing moisture and dirt to enter. This causes internal shorts and lead to misfire, causing the fouled plugs.
Remove the wiper cowl to expose it. Replace the coil pack, and replace the cables one at a time.

Im having a multiple or #5 misfire. I have replaced the spark plugs and still getting the same code

Is this a Ford 5.4 liter Engine (TRITON)?

There are 3 steps that you need to do, Do a Compression test of 1, 3, 5, 7 and annotate the compression but this is what you are going to find

There is ZERO COMPRESSION on #5 Cylinder. The problem you are having is common but not widely known. If this is the 5.4 Liter engine, you will find that the Valve Cam pushes on the Valve Stem and it has slipped off and causing your issue.

Other Issues can be
a. Coil Pack, Swap with another Cylinder and see if the problem follows
b. Clogged Fuel Injector, Swap with another Cylinder

Once you find out where the problem moves, you can repair or replace the problem. If it is the Cam/Valve Stem Rocker, then you have to pull the Valve Cover and put the Rocker back on, there are keepers now available to protect it from happening...

We have an 02 Liberty 3.7L, here at my repair shop, after customer replaced, spark plug's and all coil pack's, brought it here to my shop, was running with two cylinder's miss, did cylinder compression test, no compression on two cylinder's, remove valve cover's, found two rocker arm's off, remove cylinder head's, and found that on those two cylinder's the valve seat's had drop, keeping the valve open, and that's why the two rocker arm's had come off, do a cylinder compression test, could be the same thing, hope this was very helpful.

Well you don't say what engine it has. I just had to put a helicoil in the head of a 3.4L 'cuz it had pulled the threads out of rocker arm bolt hole for cyl. #3. Car ran great afterward.

Took the information that I found on the internet and ran with it. Once I got the part I looked at the engine after taking off the plastic cover on top of the engine it was self explanatory. I took a chance on how the pstons were numbered and it was right. The car runs great!
