trail and error it will or wont work.. but i got a tac green goes to coil black ground yellow battery.. if dont work reverse the green and yellow thats the basic tac wiring

Harley fuel valve low to no flow


aftermarkets dont always work that well-or go back and chec installation-may want to tell the seller about it--get a clymer manual for engine rebuild and maintenance--library sec629 has cycle books too

*my harley breaks up during acceleration its a sportster 1000 1980. I bought it a month ago the only problem when I got it was gas would run out of reserve and it would break up in fourth gear the guy...


Hi Anonymous, if you have a carburator the usual suspects are:
1. Damaged or restricted fuel tank venting system (gas cap).
2. Inlet system air leak.
3. Vacuum piston malfunction.
4. Accelerator pump leaking or no output.
5. Plugged bowl vent.
6. Fuel level (float chamber) too low.
7. Restriccted fuel supply passages.
8. Plugged jets or passages.
9. Worn or damaged needle or needle jet.
10. Enrichner valve not seated or leaking.

Changing the timing belt on a 1980 honda civic


Hi Sumbreez, The Civic uses a timing belt which requires replacement every hundred thousand kl. I'm not sure if it has a clearance engine, but have a vague memory of the valves being damaged if the belt breaks. If the valve are damaged, it is more than a possibility that the pistons and maybe the con rods will also be damaged. To answer the rebuild question, is one you will need to answer yourself, as that will depend on your global location. If you're in Africa with little cash, rebuild it. If you're in the States with little cash and prepared to do it yourself rebuild it. If you're in the States with little cash and need to have a workshop rebuild it, throw it away. Regards John

What needs be done to rebuild upper-end to restore compression on 1980 yz250


Just new piston, rings, wrist pin bearing and head gasket is all you can really replace on 2 stroke YZ top end. if you replace these then your top end almost as good as new!

How to do a transmission oil chage on a 1980 sportster


There is a drain plug under the back end of the primary cover. Drain the oil and refill through the primary chain inspection hole. There is a "fill level plug" on the outer primary towards the front. Remove this plug and fill until oil runs out of the hole. Should take almost a whole quart when bike is standing straight up.

well anything is worth fixing buddy its what damage has been done just strip the top end and inspect barrel for marks and conrod up and down movement i can get any part for any bike get back to me with results bud
