Tank air pressure

Hi Chris...
Normally you set the air first.... but it can be done either way, just be sure that you have about 1/4 of your tank an air cushion, this stops the pump from cycling on and off to fast

I have a 1987 yamaha ,3 cyl 50 hp. just cut right

Check a couple of things.
1. Make sure that the carb is getting fuel.
  • Check the vent on the tank for blockage - look for bug, spider web dirt gunk.
  • Check the output of the fuel pump. It should give you a nice steady stream of gas.
2. Is the engine overheating? When was the last time the water pump impeller was replaced?
