SOURCE: fuse box

You are sitting on the motorcycle, that's what we call right and left. Remove the left side cover, look near the middle and you will see a black rectangular box mounted sideways. It has a phillips head screw in the middle. On the end of the box that faces the front of the bike it should say FUSE (it may have dust over the words). Remove the screw and pop the plastic box off, the fuses are under there - 4 or 5 of them. This is for a 1992 1400cc suzuki intruder, but the designs haven't changed much over the years. SOURCE: fuse box

The main fuse is under the panel on the right side behind the forks and the rest of the fuses are in the crank case under the cover...where you fill the oil.

SOURCE: Suzuki intruder 1500 charging system

You need to buy a volt meter and set it on 10, or 20 v-. Start the bike and see what it says. A good charging system will show 13-14+ volts. If the meter says 11-12 volts or does not change, you have a bad stator, or rect/reg. Take to a shop to have it further tested. Chaz Moto DC

I have a 07 Suzuki Boulevard C90T My accessory lights keeps blowing the fuse out and I was wondering what it could be all the wires are ok, if any one can help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Angel before diagnosing your blown fuse issue check the bottom of your seat if its metal and comes in close proximity to the positive battery post you need to take the necessary steps to ensure there is no contact (electrical tape, thick rubber insulation, hammer a dent in the seat bottom etc.) You are going to need a wiring diagram from your service manual, a test light, an ohmmeter and plenty of extra fuses.
If you turn on your ignition switch and immediately blow a fuse you have a hard/dead short and is usually easy to find. With a test light connected to the hot side of the blown fuse holder start stabbing the wire/s that leads away from the fuse holder and towards the ignition switch, you test light will illuminate validating the short. When the test light fails to illuminate you have passed the short and need to back up until the test light illuminates, then look in the immediate area for the short.
If you driving down the road for 30 minutes or 15 miles and blow a fuse you have soft/flying short and may take some time and patience to find.
If the main fuse/circuit breaker constantly blows/trips while riding you probably have a faulty battery terminal connection. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary. Any other fuses that constantly keep blowing while riding are usually caused by a loose or corroded ground wire in the circuit, which means you have to check, inspect, test each and everyone with and ohm meter set on a low ohm scale 100 ohms or less . Simply touch one lead to the ground source and the other lead to the battery negative terminal, a reading of zero indicates a clean solid ground. Any number reading or infinity indicates a poor ground and needs to be repaired. Poor or weak grounds require excessive additional amperage to complete the circuit which in turn blows the small amperage fuse. Are there any other fuzes on a2002 1500 suzuki intruder then the 30amp main if so where are they

Hi, Joseph tail light issues are relatively easy to diagnose and repair always check the tail light fuse first and make sure you have power on both sides of the fuse holder and the usual suspects are:
1. Tail light bulb element is broken.
2. Tail light bulb soldered contacts are extremely worn down.
3. Tail light bulb socket corroded.
4. Tail light bulb socket has no power and or ground.
5. Tail light wiring harness damaged from the rear tire.
6. Tail light rear fender wiring harness connector faulty due to corroded, broken, or loose pins/sockets.

Hi. i have a 93 suzuki intruder 800, all was working fine, i was riding along... then neutral light, and rear turn signals along with rear brake light just stopped working. any suggestions? fuses?

You have an older bike. There is a spray specifically made to clean out oxidation in wire connectors and plugs. I would start from my fuse box and work back pull every fuse and sprayed a spray in and make sure the fuses and the plugs are not oxidize like white stuff on it. You can also use pure alcohol clean all those plug a man makes your wires and not dry rotted make sure not the wires are touching you may have a frayed wire that's shorting out one side. Usually there's four wires that run your turn. One runs your turn signal 100 breaks one runs you're running lights. I'm not sure if that's four bit anyhow, I would start there. There and the fuses keep blowing. It's because you got a bad connection, which could be one of those plugs you one side is made out of metal one sides made out of rubber pulled apart and sprayed them

Why does the headlight fuse blow constantly on a suzuki vs 800?

You have a short circuit in the positive wire somewhere between the fuse box and the light. It apparently has a break in the insulation or a bare spot where the insulation has worn through allowing it to ground out somewhere along the way. The most likely point of damage is at the front fork.

Lights keep blowing the fuse

You can pull the light apart and check the amperage they require since they are not the factory headlights they most likely have a higher amp requirement and find out what that is and then install the proper required fuse for them. Also be sure to check and see if the wires are properly hooked up and wrapped properly and are not grounding out on any metal or other wires. This should solve your problems. Might also want to see if the headlight relay is also the proper one to cover the amps they require as well. Hope this works for u and good luck

My break light, turn signal, neutral indicator, speedo light, & licesnse plate light stopped working mid ride today. What should I do?

Start at the fuses. If it continues to shoot the fuse there is a wiring problem this will need addressing.
