Screw the nut back on to the axle about three turns, then use a block of wood and hammer. Do not do this without screwing the nut back on about two to three turns (not all the way) or you will damage the thread on the axle.

Once it is out, use grease on the axle before putting it back in.

Tips to remove frozen wheel bearing

forget the torch idea as it will damage the axle
bearings appear hard but in fact cut readily with an angle grinder
cut at an angle and almost all the way in
get a cold chisel and hit the cut hard and the bearing will crack and be easy to pull off

How to remove and replace a CV axle

Generally, the wheel comes off, the brakes come off, the spindle comes off, then the axle shaft comes out of the transaxle. Most people are stuck at trying to get the nut off the axle before they get the spindle off.
You should get a repair book and read up on the procedure to see if you have the tools and know-how before you start. Putting the spindle back on in the exact right place to avoid a front end alignment is tricky too.

Why is my singer SEWING MACHINE prelude HAND WHEEL RESISTING

Make sure the bobbin winder is in the position away from the bobbin stopper. When you fill a bobbin, you have to push the "spindle" towards the handwheel. If you do not push the "spindle" back into position (away from the handwheel), the wheel will remain locked.

How do i change a belt on a indesit washer machine its a wd 12

Usually there is a back panel that can be removed to give access to the motor and pulley wheel for the drum. If not then remove the top panel and look down the back and you will see the big drum wheel. you will also be able to see the spindle for the motor at the bottom. Reach down to the motor and hook the belt around the spindle and place as much of it as possible on the pulley then turn the wheel to pull the rest of the belt on. It can be a little tricky but the only other way is to completely remove the back half of the machine. If you get stuck try www.espares.co.uk and check the advice centre, it gives a video on how to change a belt, most machines are similar. Hope this helps.

How do i change wheel speed sensor on a 2001 pontiac grand am se

well if it is the front wheel speed sensor it is part of the hub bearing and that hub unit will have to be replaced as one unit.

first raise the vechile and support it with jack stands. remove the wheel that has the bad wheel speed sensor.

then remove the brake caliper and mounting bracket.

remove the brake rotor.

remove the axle nut from axle.

unplug wheel speed sensor wire harness and bracket.

un bolt the three 15mm bolts on the back side of the spindle for the hub bearing unit mounting.

after everything is un bolted you will need to soak the mating surface of the hub to spindle with wd-40.

take a hammer and cold chisel between the mating surface of hub and spindle. work your self around the mating surface of the hub.

depending how corroded it is the sensor part of the hub unit may stay stuck in the spindle and if that happens use hammer and chisel to remove it.

clean the inner surface of the spindle where the hub sits and re install in the reverse procedure.

if you have any more question please ask i will be glad to help. good luck

My VHS tape is also stuck--tapping didn't help

does ur vcr have a idler wheel or gears (between both spindles?) if its an idler wheel, with rubber band it commonly can go bad. their a pain. unfortunately there may not be a replacemant part. if nopt, inspect the belt for cracks or glazing. it needs friction to spin the spindle to take up the tape being played. or if ejecting, to wind the tape back in the cassete. take off the cover of vcr and watch. if the right side wheel of tape is not turning while playing, theres ur problem. the tape is instead floating every whichway. another possibility could be a belt on the right spindle. if any bands need replacing, use an ordinary rubber band ,. should work just as good
