If it is carburetor the float is stucked or also their is a small valve that closes when the float reaches its level to prevent for fuel to reach the carburetor this valve is not closing properly. Need to adjust float or change valve. Also try giving a small tap or knock with the end of a screwdriver to the bottom of the carburetor if the float is in the up position the float will drop so no more fuel will be coming out over flow, so u don't have to take the carburetor down

Th engine turns over and will not start. I have fuel but no spark from the spark plugs. I drove it the day before with no problems and when I went to leave my job it woudnt start.

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

As a first course of action, replace the distributor cap. If the cap is worn out it tends not to give current to the plugs. If problem still persist then the problem will be on the distributor coil pack itself. It's the main supply of current to the plugs. Located inside the engine where the distributor cap sits.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!
