I think you are saying that the exhaust on your bike is rusted so it looks bad and the bike is noisy because the muffler is bad. You can get a brand new exhaust system at Babbitt's for about $830.00.
Google " motorcycle salvage suzuki " and you might find what you need there for a whole lot less.

Harley-Davidson exhaust pipes too hot(low rider 2016 s).

Hi, Lamont some brands of motorcycles will have exhaust discoloration right out of the gate when brand new due to engine design and the quality of the chrome plating. These bikes will also have chrome heat shields to prevent burns from accidental contact and hide ugly exhaust discoloration. Some manufacturers go as far as having heat shields on mufflers. If you purchased a brand new set of chrome aftermarket mufflers or a complete exhaust system only to find excessive bluing on the headers and golden and sometimes blue areas on the mufflers appear after a few hundred or so miles of riding your first impression is your exhaust is running too hot which must mean so is your engine. Wrong! exhaust discolour is caused by 3 different things.
1. Poor quality chrome plating, usually dictated by the price of the part.
2. Retarded ignition or cam timing caused by improper installation or a faulty CPS, CKP, MAF, MAP sensor.
3. Mufflers discoloration is caused by an excessively rich fuel condition.

I have an 04yz450f and there is a slight exhaust leak where the mufflet meets the headers, will welding the muffler to the headers cause any issues? also would this be a reason why the bike has problems...

Just get a new gasket for the exhaust connection. Welding would be ugly, cause the area to rust quickly and lower the value of the bike when you sell it. Please rate my answer. Thanks. tombones49_98.gif

On my pipes one side is hot and the other is cold

Check the pipe right where they come out of the heads. It depends on what type of exhaust system you have on your Road King. If the stock exhaust is on the bike, the rear cylinder exhaust is directed to both mufflers. With the exhaust from the front and part of the exhaust from the rear cylinders going to the right side muffler, it gets more exhaust than the left side and runs hotter. Like I said, check the temp of the exhaust pipes at the cylinder heads. If one of them is cold, that cylinder is not firing. As long as both of the pipes are hot there, you're fine. Just ride the bike and have fun.

Hi done 200 km on my Triumph america The engine knocks when hot and one exhaust is blueing cant sleep please help me

Check first to make sure your exhaust is tight at the head. Check the oil level. Your carbs have fuel screws which are covered with a plug. Take it to a shop and have them remove the fuel screw plugs. Have them synch and tune the bike, adjusting the fuel screws. Your knock should ge away. If not take it back to the dealer. Chaz Moto DC

Upgrade the exhaust

The 07 bikes have the 02 sensors hat self adjust in cruise mode. The problem is that the mixture is real lean in this mode for EPA regs. When you add just slipons, the mixture will become a bit leaner and the 02 sensors will self adjust. Problem is they can only self adjust so much and are at the edge of the air fuel ratio that will give you a good running engine. With the addition of a fuel adjusting unit, whether it be a SERT or a PC III or TFI, the fuel will be richened up to a more workable ratio and the bike will run better and cooler. The Stage 1 intake is optional but consider the addition of the stage 1 with slip ons and a fueler of sorts will add about 10-12 HP and also TQ which will make the bike run better and a bit cooler also.

If you are like me and not comfortable mucking about with your fuel mixture or carb settings, do what I do.....take the bike to your local shop and have them look at it.
