I have 2008 GMC sierra 5.3 L with a new fuel pump. And no power to the pump. Any ideas where to look?

And where is the fuel pump control module?

Fuel Pump Flow Control Module (FPCM) - LMF
The fuel pump flow control module (FPCM) is a serviceable GMLAN module. The FPCM receives the desired fuel pressure message from the engine control module (ECM) and controls the fuel pump located within the fuel tank to achieve the desired fuel pressure. The FPCM sends a 25 KHZ PWM signal to the fuel pump, and pump speed is changed by varying the duty cycle of this signal. Maximum current supplied to the fuel pump is 15 amps. A liquid fuel pressure sensor provides fuel pressure feedback to the FPCM.
Electronic Returnless Fuel System (ERFS) - LMF
The electronic returnless fuel system is a microprocessor controlled fuel delivery system which transports fuel from the tank to the fuel rails. It functions as an electronic replacement for a traditional, mechanical fuel pressure regulator. A pressure vent valve within the fuel tank provides an added measure of fuel pump flow control module (FPCM). Desired fuel pressure is commanded by the engine control module (ECM), and transmitted to the FPCM via a GMLAN serial data message. A liquid fuel pressure sensor provides the feedback the FPCM requires for Closed Loop fuel pressure control.

DTC P0230: Fuel Pump Relay Control Circuit
The engine control module (ECM) sends the fuel enable signal to the fuel pump control module (FPCM). The control module monitors the voltage on the fuel pump relay control circuit. If the control module detects an incorrect voltage on the fuel pump relay control circuit, a fuel pump relay control DTC sets.

I replaced the fuel pump relay, noticed that i had a blown fuse marked ecm. repaced that.ran truck for around 20 min.turned off. when i went to start again it wouldnt. looked at that same 20 amp fuse

There are two ECM fuses - marked ecm 1 and ecm B.
ECM B powers the fuel pump and the Veh control module which handles most of the sensors.
ECM 1 powers the ignition module, coil, injectors and the rest of the engine sensors.
You may need a repair book with diagrams to check all of the circuits for shorts.

My 99 gmc yukon fuel guage doesnt work and i here u can bend the contacts on the floater closer and it would be fine but where are the contacts on the floater and my fuel pump is new so whats the problem

The fuel sender is with the pump module assy. You say the fuel pump is new, did you replace the fuel module or just the pump? is this a new problem after you replaced it or was it there before? Never replace just the pump.

Will a 2008 yukon run with a missing fuel pump relay

{: ) Yes, if the vehicle is equipped with a Fuel Pump Flow Control Module (FPCM). The FPCM is located underneath the vehicle, left side chassis, near the Electronic Brake Control Module. Sometimes, when you check fuse and relays at the underhood fuseblock, you can still see labels and alloted space for the fuel pump fuse and relay. But the circuit is actually internally omitted or modified inside the fuseblock if the vehicle is using FPCM. An FPCM controlled fuel systems doesn't have fuel pump relay at the fuseblock, and instead you may find a FSCM fuse 20amp which gives battery power to the FPCM.

2002 gmc sierra 5.3 4x2 . problem is starts up and dies. changed fuel filter it started and ran about 1 minute died and wont run. got new fuel pump and dropped tank. sending unit pair has 5 volts the...

You should not see any voltage after the 2-second prime until you actually start cranking the engine. If you don't see power on the grey wire when cranking, try jumpering across the fuel pump relay terminals

Fuel pump- 2002 GMC Sierra

The fuel sending unit only controls the gas guage not the fuel supply to the vehicle. The pump is twelve volts. If you are not getting twelve volts on the PUMP wires check the fuel pump relay and the key circuit to it. If you have to cycle the key three to four times rapidly to get the vehicle to start check the fuel pump pressure at the regulator for manufacturer specs. An injector stuck open will also cause same problems you are describing.

1997 gmc sierra shuts off while driving

Had same problem with a Yukon. Turned out to be a bad fuel pump (Won't show codes.) When cold ran fine, heated up, no pressure. Would start after sitting for about 1/2 hour. When engine dies on you check for fuel pressure under the hood.
