I have a ZZR 1400 and the neutral light is flashing when in gear what's wrong

Yes Castrol Power 1 is fine. I use it all the time

2 and 3 thousand RPM will lug this bike depending on what gear you are in. You could also have a timing or vacuum issue if it's a hesitation when you twist it. I'd run a can of Seafoam through a tank of gas first to clean the fuel system, intake valves and combustion chambers. Hope this helps.

Remove the seat and its towards the rear tail section, there is a box on top of it, below you';; see a bigger box that has two big leads going to it, if you need a picture I have one.

Assuming the clutch is operating properly the problem sound like it lies in the gear case, possbily a worn or bent shift fork, sorry but it sounds as if you will need to split the cases.

The bike has a bent shift fork. Major repair and major repair cost. Your dealer will probably charge $1300 to $1500 to fix it. Don't try to fix it yourself because the shop will charge an extra $500 or so when you bring it to them in pieces. Besides, you would need some special tools to even begin the job. Sorry, someone had to tell you.
