Check the electrical ignition system and the ignition switch. Probably the switch might rusted and so it may happen. provided the battery is really good and the electrical wiring is good.

Yes, yes, and no, and I don't know. You could have blown a fuse, but it seems it would be showing other symptoms if you did. THe age of the battery is a good indication of condition, over one year old, suspect, over 2 years old, definitely could be in need of replacement. Check the water in the battery and fill it to the level with bottled water, or rain water, no minerals, then get one of those floaty ball testers and check the electrolyte fluid weight, One dead cell, the battery is shot. Could have been not enough time to charge it back it up. A battery charger needs to run all night. So, check it out, hope this helps.

START WITH THE IGNITION OFF and get a meter and test for voltage.
If for instance you went past off to PARK, you would expect the parking lights to be on, and there would be voltage at that fuse, When the ignition is fully off, there shouldn't be voltage at any fuse.
If there is, start finding out what to, and why.

My initial thought is you haved a faulty voltage regulator. You should be charging at about 15 volts, but when your battery gets charged, the voltage regulator should turn the charge system off.

Your battery is hot ... you are over charging.

Im sorry, I dont know where your regulator is located.

I hoped you find some value in this comment.

Bikes dead!! Battery wont charge, been charging all night Help!

You didn't mention if you charged the battery in- or out of the bike. If H-D has a modern alternator, it may have failed diodes that are draining the battery and stealing charge current if charged while connected. If the battery was made in China . . . oh, well.

This usually means the bb and battery got a little wet or has other issues. Try these solutions in order. They go from easisest to hardest. NOTE: If you have an insurance policy on the bb probably best just to take it in.

1. Remove the back cover. Remove the battery and the SIM card. Wait 30 seconds. Replace SIM, battery and back cover. Reboot. Plug in the bb and charge fully.

2. If that doesn't work, allow the bb to remain unplugged but ON for about 24 hours to drain the battery. Remove back cover and battery. Allow battery and opened bb to sit in a dry environment for 24 - 36 hours. Relace battery and cover. Reboot. Plug in the bb and charge fully.

3. If that fails, try another battery (a friends or one from your cellstore) to see if tat's the problem. If so, (a) retry step 2 but allow battery to FULLY drain then dry out again, (b) buy a new battery for $60 retail or (c) buy a new battery on ebay for a lot less.

4. Take in.

My wife left her 4gb zune out on picnic table over night and it rained lightly that night. she turned it on and it worked fine for several days until battery went dead, now she can`t get it to charge

I would leave it a bowl of DRY rice for 24 hours to remove any remaining moisture. (I've used this on phones and iPods) Then attempt to charge the zune. If it does not turn right on, I would recommend leaving it connected to power for at least an hour before attempting to power it on again. It may be though that the remaining moisture already did its damage. I sure do hope not. Good luck :)

Strting problem on my wind 125

what else could it be? I'm with stupida dead battery WILL NOT be recognized by a battery tender thats why the light wont come on. Are you trying to jump the bike using a car that is TURNED OFF? You can hook the 2 batteries together and that will help equalize your bike battery enough that the battery tender will recognize that you are indeed connecting it to a battery or you can buy a battery charger and charge it for 20 minutes (or barrow one) which will be more than enough for the battery tender to recognzie the battery. *edit I should mention that the reason a battery tender wont recognize a dead battery is it must see (feel) electricity from the battery. I dont know all the exact properties as in what votage it must see but if it doesnt see it it thinks its not a battery. A charger will try and charge it no matter what it may be. I mean you connect a charger to a metal bar and it will try to charge it. oh if you hook the two batteries together im not sure the bike will start though it may. I have never tried it with a bike but at work we connect two forklift batteries together for 30 minutes and that gives it enough of a charge for our battery tenders to recognize that its charging a battery.,
