Make sure your primary chain is adjusted properly and the compensating sprocket nut is torqued to spec. The comp nut is inside the primary cover, on the front sprocket.

Just need to know the specs for fluids (oil & gear) on my 02' Dyna FXD

On the '02 bikes, the engine, primary, and transmission came with Harley-Davidson SYN3 synthetic oil in all three areas. Three quarts of engine oil, 32-36 ounces in the primary, and 20-24 ounces in the transmission.

The SYN3 oil is a synthetic 20-50 weight oil with a "C" rating on it. Check the API code. It will say something like SJ-CG. The "Cx" is what you're looking for as this tells you that it has the high pressure additives in the oil for use in diesel engines. Harley has always recommended using "C" rated oils in their engines.

I need the sequence the parts go back together after replacing the stator on a 2002 Harley dyna super glide. While waiting for parts I'm having trouble remembering the order the parts go in for assemble. ...

You got the stator in..now magnet case over stator..then that large spacer you are talking about then your compesating shaft then put the clutch primary chain and mainshaft sprocket on all at one time..then the compensating sprocket ( wavy looking ******) its cover and then the nut its a right is tight...clutch side the nut is first its a left is tight then the rod cover with the words out ( out) and the snap ring. compensating sprocket is 150 ft lbs and the clutch nut is 50 ft lbs then a quater more..red lock tight both....good luck sometimes you can see the ring mark left by the piece you are concerned about....i figure you know how to connect chain adjuster so wont go their.
