Having trouble getting the bottom end apart

I've got everything taken off of the bottom end that needs to be taken off to get the motor apart. The problem is when I try to split it in half I can only get it apart about an inch. Any suggestions on what would be causing this would be a great benefit. Thanks

Crankshaft bearings, they are a press fit, you need to fab, a puller. You may can use a steering wheel puller. bolt it to the side case and use the bolt to press the crank thru. Ck for and circ. clips on the shaft also.

Replace bearing on dyson dy-916217-01

I have a bad motor myself. The bearings make loud noises and the wife is on me to fix it. I can only replace the entire motor because the bearings are not available that I am aware of. The motor runs about $50, cheaper than having them fix it. Dyson does not have parts listed on their pages but you can Google the vacuum/parts and find them. Working on a Dyson is like working on an car. You have to take everything apart to get to what you need to replace. Good luck.

How do I get the fan off the fan blades in a 1994 dodge spirit?

If the OEM version is designed to be taken apart, there is a clip that holds the fan blade onto the motor shaft.
Its easier to buy the fan blade and motor together.

Clean my car seat

Those pieces WILL snap out, it just takes a bit of effort. Both my son and the boy that I nanny for have this car seat and I have taken them apart for washing the cover a couple of times. Just make sure to remember where everything goes back to.
If you're having difficulty prying them up, try using two spoons. Wedge either the handle ends or the spoon ends under either side and use them to leverage the piece up.
Hope this helps!

Replacing rubber drive coupling

My coupler was split in two, and I couldn't screw it off. I had to do the following:
1. Take the blender apart (mine had 2 screws on the bottom). 2. Remove the motor housing from the blender (mine was loose from removing the two screws earlier). 3. Remove the fan by removing the fan nut. 4. Take apart the motor housing. Mine had two machine screws with 1/4" hex heads holding a bracket that tied the two ends together. Once those two screws are removed, you can take the motor out of the housing. Be careful on the fan end of the motor, because it's got two spring loaded brushes that will come together once the motor is pulled through. 6. Once you have the motor out of the housing, you'll have something to grab onto so you'll be able to unscrew the broken coupler. I used a pair of channel locks and gently grasped the motor body, and then just used a regular pair of pliers to grab the broken coupler. It's regular thread (lefty lucy righty tighty), so twist accordingly.
Once you have the coupler off, just put everything back together. The hardest part is holding apart the spring loaded brushes while you push the fan end of the motor shaft back through the motor housing.
Took me about 20 minutes to do everything.
Good luck.
