There are 4 wires that come out of the engine case there should be a power wire that comes out, you must follow the wiring harness and look for the end of the wire it may be taped up and zip tied holding it conceled on the harness somewhere, after finding the power wire with a voltmeter and motor running test the wires or wire to confirm 14 volts, you must install a voltage rectifier or voltage regulator to prevent surging, surging will cause the headlight to blow out, this wire must equiped with a 20 amp fuse on its way to the battery. As for the starter there is a cover on the inner side of the engine case that needs to be removed exposing the flywheel teeth, some engines do not have this feature and are strictly dirt bikes and the motor is not starter compatable, if your bike does have these features then you must attach the starter wire to a push button switch then from the switch run the wire to the battery, the power wire to battery must have a 20 amp fuse in line, run the headlight to the battery the same way with a fuse, and the ground wire for starter run up to switch and switch has a ground wire that runs to the frame.

No Dash lights, or tail lights. All fuses and bulbs are good. Headlights and turn signals fine. Very confused....please help.

Sounds as if you may have a short did you check the bulbs? I would check the bulbs and make sure they are good. when you lift the rear hatch lid search around the wires and see if you have a exposed wire or perhaps a loose wire connection. Allot of times wires in a vehicle that year start getting frayed and worn from putting different items in the rear of the vehicle.

I need to change my headlight bulb in my scion tc. how do i do that?

Look inside the engine compartment - follow the wires to the back of the headlight. Remove the lock ring around the harness (just like a jar lid - twist it to the left an eighth turn) and coax the bulb out. It is held in by a rubber sealing ring. Installation is just the reverse.

92 lexus ls 400. Tail lights will not turn on. Brake and parking lights turn on. Fuse is good, verified.

check power to your rear tailight bulbs positive to see if they even get power with the headlight switch on. if your headlights come on then it's probably not a switch issue. Just check and make sure that you have power and ground to your tailights. It sounds most likely like an electrical problem. The best way to find the problem is to get an electrical wiring diagram and go through the system. But definately first check power and ground at the tailight bulbs to start.

Headlights and tailights won't come on on my 1986 bronco

You may have somehow accidently unplugged the headlight switch in the dash. It should not be able to be pulled off Being an 86 it may have been replaced and the retaining tabbs damaged. Try pushing the wiring harness connector back on the switch.

Have you chk. the tailight plug under the bed in the rear? could have come unpluged, or corroded, do you have a trailer plug? chk. that. Has anyone cut into tailight wires for trailer lights? If you find no problem back there then its time to trace the wires from rear to front, broken wire someware.
