Sound like it's jetted too lean on your idle jet in your carburator. That will make sound like it's "running out of fuel." If that's true, you plug will turn white if you let it run that way for a while.

2003 KTM EXC 250 hard to start. Heavy kicking full throttle choke closed finally starts. 4 stroke. Revs high then low and dies what do I need?

That sounds like a loose hose or bolts between the carb and the cylinder. Classic symptoms of hard starting, revving and dies. If not that, strip and clean the carb.

Problems starting the CRF450R 07 even after valves done, plus rewired stater. I've just gone from the usual cr250 2 stroke & all I ask seem to tell me the CRF needs getting used to,is this the case??

An 07 crf 450 doesnt have a starter motor. Are you sure about the year and model?
Starting a Thumper is not at all likd starting a two stroke. 2 strokes need a little flick on the kickstart and a little blip of the throttle. 4 stroke thumpers need a long, hard, deliberate kick and absolutely NO throttle. You may want to rest your right hand on the bar clamps to start it just to make sure your not adding fuel. Thumpers have a pretty big accelerator pump that can flood quickly and easily. Once you're used to it, it will become easier

Honda nsr250 mc18

The NSR is a 2 stroke, so it needs 2 stroke oil as well as petrol. This is the reason they are known as "Stinkwheels". If the engine is run without oil in the mix it will seize. As the oil provides lubrication to the moving parts. You should also check the spark plugs are clean, they can oil up in a 2 stroke, especially if the engine is used a lot at low revs.

Just did top end on 02 cr80rb. Fired up was running great. Than through the gears started loosing power in lower rpms. Stopped bike and than it wouldn't kick back over. Checked plug for possible foul,...

ouch.. Hey Bagger,, sounds like she seized up... not a good thing...
1. Will it kick over at all??
2. if it kicks over, does it make any grinding or metallic sounds?

What exactly did you do to this bike? IN DETAIL.. why did you rebuild it..what happened that it needed rebuilding?
PLEASE respond on here, in detail,

How to start yamaha yz 400f?

pull the choke out, make sure fuel is on, DO NOT turn the throttle before starting. now you have to make sure the cylinder is at the top of the stroke, give the bike a couple short, easy kicks your not trying to kick it over yet, you are just trying to get the piston to the top of the cylinder, as your givivng it the short easy kicks, you will notice that the kick is getting shorter and harded......until you are at the top of the it is ready to kick over, hold the hot start lever in about half way to release some compressionand give it a hard strong kick, if it doesnt start on that kick, make sure you are at the top of the cylinder again and when you are, give it another strong hard kick all the way to the bottom, when it starts immediatly release the decompression lever or you could do damage to the valves. relaese the choke, you dont want to leave the choke on too long because it is a very rich gas mixture and will eat the oil off the cylinder walls after a while. and DO NOT high rev the bike until it is warm, because you need to make sure that oil has gotten to the top end. it isnt a 2 stroke, ya cant make her screem right away.

Hi have a Husqvarna 410 2000 got spark fuel back fires but wont start checked flywheel is on right valves rock at top dead centre ... ?? but wont start ? kick start only tho ?

If the valves "rock" at TDC, the piston is at TDC EXHAUST, not TDC COMPRESSION. Chances are the engine is flooded. Install a fresh spark plug and go easy on twisting the throttle when starting the bike. Be sure the battery is in good condition. Push the kick lever to just past TDC compression then give a strong kick. Don't try to kick start with the piston going upward on the compression stroke. Be sure the air cleaner is not dirty and you have good gas. Please rate my answer. Thanks!

I need to know the high and low settings on husqvarna35

Turn both jet needles CW to stops (lightly), then turn each screw out CCW 1-1/2 turns. This is a basic setting which should allow the engine to start and run. Start the engine and allow to warm up, then pull the throttle full on. Adjust H needle CW until the engine starts to speed up, but still 4-stroking. Proper final adjustment is when the engine 4-strokes unloaded, but immediately 2-strokes when cutting. Release the throttle and adjust L needle CW for better idle, but still allows the engine to 'follow the throttle'. Set the idle speed screw so that the chain stops turning, but the engine will continue to idle. Hope this helps!

Bike wont kick start or idle , it will coast

first drain the carby, then set your air mixture screw 2 turns out, from the fully turned in position. The starting proceedure is as follows, when the engine is COLD, turn on fuel, pull on the choke fully, and kick the engine over. DO NOT use any throttle, when the engine is cold, and the choke is on. Remember Choke on, NO throttle.
When warm, no choke, and a little throttle when kicking.
