When removing such things or even changing exaust system, make sure carb jets are reset. Or if your bike is fuel injected to have it reprogramed.By changing exaust flow you change intake flow.

I have a 2001 triumph TT 600 that is idling rough and is backfiring any idea on what it could be?

Hi, Joe and the usual suspects are:
1. Severely discharged or a damaged battery, should have 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a "LOAD" test if necessary.
2. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
3. Faulty main circuit breaker and or connections.
4. Faulty ignition coil and or connections.
5. Faulty spark plug, oil or gas fouled, wrong heat range or service type, wrong gap, loose in the cylinder head, broken electrode or insulator.
6. Faulty spark plug cables, leaking or broken, internal damage check for spark leakage in the dark.
7. Faulty ignition module, switch, CKP, MAP, CMP, sensor and or any connector in the ignition circuit could have corroded, loose, or broken pins/sockets
8. Burnt exhaust valve or air leak in the exhaust system.

Most baffles can be un-screwed from the rear; some others from the inside after removing the exhaust.

My triumph tt600 2002 has developed a cough and splutter when idle and low revs! It did back fire and cut out when slowing to stop. I have taken baffles out and been running like this for a year. Just had...

I would start with new plugs and cleaning the air filter. Also, if the bike has carburetors, I would drain the carbs. Condensation from the gas tank may have gotten into the carb float bowls.

How do you remove baffles out of the bike

On my 1998 I cut old muffler off. Inside I found smaller pipes. I could remove the baffles. So I order the same size pipe as the out side pipe from JEGS. Welded it over the smaller pipe. Has a nice tone and now getting better MPG. Hope this helps. My HD friends will not ride on my right. They say it's to loud.
