I have a Ford F150, 2004 and it's getting the P1270 code. Is this something that can be fixed? I have what the code means, but need to know what my options are. Thanks in advance!

Well, you didn't state what engine it has, so just a guess here but, on the 4.6 ltr truck the p1270 is the over-rev/over-speed code. maximum speed or rpm has been reached . It hit the speed limiter.

Testimonial: "Thank you Genisis98--it is a 4.6 ltr. So, it hits the speed limiter, do that mean it cannot be fixed? Or, if it can, what does that entail?"

I have a 2003 ford windstar with the airbag light on. Flashes code 35. Is this something I can fix?

Codes 32 to 35

These codes are signaled by three flashes, a two-second pause and the number of flashes that corresponds to the second digit. Code 32 (triple flash, pause, two flashes) means the driver side airbag has a circuit open or with high resistance, Code 33 (triple flash, pause, two flashes) means the passenger side airbag has a circuit open or with high resistance, Code 34 (triple flash, pause, four flashes) means the driver side airbag has a shorted circuit or one with low resistance and Code 35 (triple flash, pause, five flashes) means the passenger side airbag has a shorted circuit or one with low resistance.

I personally would let some one who knows what they are doing look at it. Grounding or feeding the wrong wire could set off an air bag and hurt someone.

My 2003 lincoln LS v8 is showing codes p1714 p1715 and p1270. What are those and how do I fix it?

P1270 - Engine RPM/Vehicle Speed Limiter Indicates the vehicle has been operated in a manner, which caused the engine or vehicle to exceed a calibration limit. The engine rpm and vehicle speed are continuously monitored and evaluated by the PCM. The DTC is set when the rpm or vehicle speed falls out of a calibrated range. • Wheel slippage (water, ice, mud and snow)
  • Excessive engine rpm in Neutral or operated in the wrong transmission gear
  • Vehicle driven at a high rate of speed

How to fix p1270 on2000 mustung

Code p1270 Indicates the vehicle has been operated in a manner which caused the engine or vehicle to exceed a calibration limit. The engine RPM and vehicle speed are continuously monitored and evaluated by the PCM. The best way to stop this code from coming back is to make sure the vehicle is not driving at a high rate of speed... or the engine is not at a high rpm for a extended period of time.

You need a repair shop to properly diagnose why you have any codes

You can Google all your asking-- but certainly can not diagnose & repair

Transmission has code p1270 ford 2000 expendition

Continuous Memory Diagnostic Test Code (DTC) P1270 has a generic description of "Excessive Engine RPM/Vehicle Speed".
This DTC indicates that the vehicle was operated in a manner which caused engine or vehicle speed to exceed a calibrated limit. Possible causes for this DTC are:
> Wheel slippage caused by mud, snow, water, ice. etc.
> Excessive engine RPM in Park or Neutral
> Vehicle driven at an excessive rate of speed

If you are aware that one of the possible causes above occured, then there is no problem.
If there are no other drivability symptoms or fault codes, simply clear the code and move on.

The orange waring light is coming on on my 1999 ford focus, what does this mean??

Which orange light? What does the light say or what is the symbol? Are you refering to the engine trouble light? If so this will need to be read by a code reader which will give you a code of say P1165 or something similar. Then you will have to look up meaning of the code to isolate the problem and go from there. It could be anything from your mass air flow sensor to lean mixtures to vacumm leaks, the list is endless. Your local napa or auto parts warehouse should be able to analyze this for you for free so you will at least know what the light is referring to and how to go about getting it fixed.
