Question about 1991 Honda CBR 1000 F

1 Answer

Electrical I recently purchased my Honda CBR 1000 last fall. It has sat for nearly 3 years, and after replacing all of the major parts, I have a battery issue. First I purchased a new battery and it ran fine until the battery was unable to hold a charge and I later found out theBattery had a dead cell. I then bought another new battery and after a week of riding the bike i later noticed that the positive terminal on the battery had melted. could this be a simple case of the wrong battery? Or might i have an electical malfunction on the bike? Please nitify me with any answers.

Could be a bad regulator/rectifier. You need to check to see what the charging system is putting out at idle, and probably 6-7K RPM's. If you have anything above 14V, you most likely have a reg/rec problem. If not, look for a short in the wiring somewhere.

Im looking for a service manual for a 2004 cbr 1000rr fireblade

Hi, Allen the vast majority of service, parts, and owners manuals on the internet are "FREE" to download and all service manuals contain wiring diagrams in the back pages. The rest usually charge a modest fee around $10 and there is a handful of obscure, rare, obsolete, and very old models that are no longer or never were available, for these rare occasions I shall look on eBay and find the cheapest one available. Most of the manuals will cover your exact make, model, and year otherwise one will be provided that comes as close as possible to your bike and will have most of the same info that an exact manual would have. Will Hurricane 1000 parts fit a Hurricane 600

Hi, Jason_wade_2 parts swapping is common with most motorcycles when it comes to interchangeable or compatible parts from one model with another except for CDI's they are year-make-model specific the best thing to do is call your local Dealership Parts Department or a reputable independent shop. If your location is not near a shop then go online and find a parts catalog or "FICHE" and match part numbers depending on your criteria.

I got a clutch from a honda cbr-1000 , will it fit my yamaha r1 ?

No. There is about a zero chance of that kind of parts interchangeability between brands. There's very little parts that are swappable between the same model of Honda motorcycles, from year to year.

Please I ned to purchase a cluth for CBR-1000F

Here's a web site that deals in original equipment Honda parts:
http://www.powersedge.com/pages/parts/viewbybrand/default.aspx

Once you are there, select the year and model of Honda that you need parts for from the drop down boxes. What I like the most about this place is that their site shows you the same exploded-view parts diagrams, with part numbers, that Honda dealers across the country use.
